Chen Shihua, deputy secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said that in November, the automotive industry worked hard to overcome the impact of tight chip supply, policy and regulatory adjustments, etc., and the overall production and marketing situation was slightly better than expected at the beginning of the month.

Chen Shihua: Automobile production in November was 2.585 million units, up 10.9% from the previous month, and 2.522 million units were sold in November, an increase of 8.1% over the previous month.

Chen Shihua said that the market demand for new energy vehicles is still strong, production and sales continue to reach a new high, the cumulative output has exceeded 3 million vehicles, sales of nearly 3 million vehicles, january to November cumulative sales penetration rate increased to 12.7%. The new energy vehicle market has shifted from policy-driven to market-driven.

Chen Shihua: Production and sales of new energy vehicles in November reached 457,000 units and 450,000 units, up 1.3 times and 1.2 times year-on-year, respectively. For the first time, it has reached the production and sales level of more than 400,000 vehicles, which proves that our country's new energy automobile industry is now in a stage of rapid growth.

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers expects that China's automobile production and sales are expected to continue the month-on-month growth momentum in December, and the annual production and sales will exceed 26 million vehicles.
