Fan Di'an, chairman of the China Artists Association and president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, said that Wen Zhenfei has been working hard to explore the language of freehand oil painting. On the one hand, he is open-minded and broad-minded, and is willing to explore with his peers how Chinese oil painting can go out of the broader world through the concept of freehand oil painting; on the other hand, he has an increasingly clear academic goal in practice, that is, to combine the freehand spirit, freehand concept and even freehand way and method in the Chinese art tradition with the expression of oil painting, so as to have the fruitful results exhibited at the National Art Museum of China.

Wu Weishan, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, director of the National Art Museum of China, and vice chairman of the China Artists Association, said that from the essence of oil painting to think about how to combine with Chinese art and China's aesthetic spirit, Wen Zhenfei has been exploring on this road. Today, there is a very important word is "freehand", and it is a freehand oil painting, which profoundly reveals the essence of this form of painting, that is, to absorb China's excellent cultural traditions from many aspects of philosophy, aesthetic spirit and the concept of expression, especially in poetry, philosophy, calligraphy, freehand painting, freehand sculpture, etc., to understand and feel the true spirit of Chinese art.

In fact, "freehand oil painting", as the direction of painting art pursued by Chinese oil painters, has developed in full swing in recent years. The artists who create "freehand oil paintings" integrate Chinese freehand art with foreign art forms to create works with unique cultural charm and aesthetic value with Chinese characteristics and the spirit of the times.

It is reported that the exhibition will last until December 19. (End)
