Was the Yongzheng Emperor usurper of the throne? Why is Yongzheng's mausoleum so far away from Kangxi?

Rank, welcome to reading history according to the calendar.

The most turbulent power transfer in Chinese history is probably the seizure of the nine sons in the last years of the Kangxi Dynasty, and there are many film and television works and novels about this period of history.

There are no more than two basic views, one is that Yongzheng won the world is the successor of his son Kangxi, and the best TV series in China in the past 20 years, "Yongzheng Dynasty", upholds this view.

Was the Yongzheng Emperor usurper of the throne? Why is Yongzheng's mausoleum so far away from Kangxi?

The reason why Yongzheng was able to ascend to the throne was that he performed best among the nine sons and concubines, endured the most humiliation and burden, did not form a party for personal gain, and considered the whole Qing Dynasty the most, and his personality complemented that of his father Kangxi, who was too benevolent in his later years and too lax in his administration, resulting in corrupt officials everywhere.

And Yongzheng himself is a lone minister, Yongzheng himself is mean and unkind, and there is no room for sand in his eyes, so Kangxi chose Yongzheng to make up for his political gains and losses in his later years, let his son come up, and rectify these corrupt officials.

Therefore, according to the TV series "Yongzheng Dynasty", Yongzheng has its own efforts in the world, but in fact, this scene is arranged by his old son Kangxi.

Until Kangxi's death, Kangxi still firmly grasped the power, and in the end, it was really Kangxi who let whoever went up, and kangxi did not let anyone go up.

Kangxi made arrangements from the edict of succession to the arrangement of the Nine Gate Admirals to the generals of the army near the Beijing Division, and Yongzheng's succession can be said to be thrilling, of course, there is no conspiracy at all.

In addition to this school of thought, another school of thought has always been that Yongzheng was not in a correct position, and the most well-known legend is that Yongzheng actually favored his fourteen sons, and in order to train him, he also made him a great general and sent troops to the northwest to fight.

In his later years, Kangxi originally wrote this edict and passed on the throne to the fourteenth prince, but as a result, He was changed by Yongzheng, but of course, the matter of changing the edict was pure nonsense.

The edict of succession at that time was Manchu Mongolian and Chinese, what is the meaning of you changing a Chinese character, not to mention that the Chinese character was still a traditional character, not a simplified character now.

But the edict, you have all overturned and rewritten a new one, the key is that this faction believes that Kangxi may want to choose fourteen in his later years, or he may want to choose others, but he does not want to give the power to Yongzheng.

However, Yongzheng colluded with the Nine Gate Admiral Long Keduo, and Yongzheng knew many jianghu warlocks and martial arts masters, and Yongzheng himself also established such an intelligence agency as the Sticky Pole Division.

Therefore, in his later years, Kangxi actually lost control of himself and the situation because of his poor health day by day, and finally was exploited by Yongzheng, it may be that Yongzheng killed his father, or it may be that Yongzheng changed his father's will, in short, let himself ascend to the throne.

To tell the truth, if it were not for the fact that in the past 20 years, the evaluation of Yongzheng in the historical circles has slowly shifted from this criticism to praise, and in the past one or two hundred years, most people believe that Yongzheng is not in the right position.

Why? Because there are many things that everyone can't understand, one of the most interesting things is the choice of Yongzheng's cemetery.

Friends who travel to Beijing today, in addition to seeing the Ming Dynasty's Thirteen Tombs, we can also go to the Qing Dynasty's imperial tombs to visit.

But what is very troublesome is that in addition to Zhu Yuanzhang's tomb, you go to the Ming Tombs, basically the tombs of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty you can visit, but if you want to visit the tombs of the emperors of the Qing Dynasty, the trouble is big, because the Qing Dynasty has two sets of imperial tombs, one set is called Qing Dongling, one is called Qing Xi Ling, these two mausoleums are separated by 250 kilometers, a full 500 miles.

So many friends want to ask, why is this Qing Dynasty emperor so strange? If you don't gather all the emperor's tombs in one place, and you let the people of later generations worship, he is also more convenient, and I am afraid that this matter will be blamed on Yongzheng.

The tradition in ancient China is that emperors pay special attention to their own tombs, and many emperors often choose their own tombs as soon as they ascend the throne.

After the Manchu Qing Dynasty entered the customs, the Shunzhi Emperor and the Kangxi Emperor left one after another, and they were buried in the Qing Dongling Tomb, which is located in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, 30 kilometers northwest of Zunhua City, and 125 kilometers west of Downtown Beijing, which is indeed a treasure of feng shui.

So according to the reason, after Yongzheng succeeded to the throne, he should find this cemetery for himself, of course, he should also find it near the Dongling Tomb, and sleep with his father and grandfather.

Moreover, since Yongzheng succeeded to the throne, he has particularly emphasized one thing, what is it? My succession to the throne is approved by my father, and my succession to the throne is the most righteous in the world, and those of you who say what conspiracies and tricks, plot to usurp the throne, are all nonsense.

In order to prove this, in order to prove that his father, the Holy Ancestor Kangxi Emperor, was not wrong, Yongzheng had really worked hard since he succeeded to the throne.

According to later historians, there are more than 400 emperors in China, and I am afraid that the most diligent ruler is Yongzheng, especially in the years when he just succeeded to the throne, which is really a large number of approvals and recitals every day, and he can almost exhaust his own body.

Why did Yongzheng do this? It is to prove to the world that my father chose me right, although so many of us are competing for this throne, but I am the most capable, and I am the most diligent.

Not only that, in the past, we talked to everyone, why did Yongzheng make a secret reserve? Moreover, a very important reason for making Prince Bao Hongli crown prince was that it was a coincidence.

Kangxi may be older in his old age, want to enjoy the joy of heaven, by chance to see Yongzheng's fourth son Hongli, feel that the teenage Hongli this child is very good, treat people and things quite decently, and read poetry, so Kangxi brought Hongli to the palace and raised for half a year.

After Yongzheng came to power, through the secret reserve, hongli was listed as his successor, which was also equivalent to making a political oath, why did my father choose me? It's because I have a good son.

The Ming Dynasty had an allusion to a good saint, so Yongzheng was equivalent to taking it and using it, which was to strengthen the legitimacy of his rule, not only Yongzheng emphasized it in this way, but Qianlong also emphasized it in this way.

After Qianlong ascended the throne, he recalled history several times and told his ministers that when I was a child, I was raised by Emperor Shengzu, which is a unique honor among the hundreds of grandchildren of Emperor Shengzu, which is also equivalent to telling the world that our father and son can inherit their father's business and become emperors from generation to generation, and that is because Shengzu favors us.

So since Yong yong emphasized filial piety so much, and emphasized his father so much, why did he not choose to rest next to his father when choosing his own mausoleum?

In fact, as early as yongzheng ascended the throne, he arranged for his subordinates to find a mausoleum for himself within the scope of the Qing Dongling, but unfortunately, after several setbacks, he found a feng shui treasure land, and when he explored again, he found a very big defect.

So much so that Yongzheng was a little discouraged, he felt that there was no feng shui treasure land near Tanglin, so he ordered his men, so let's enlarge the scope and look for it again around Beijing.

As a result, he really found a good place, and the person who found this land was Yongzheng's most trusted brother, Old Thirteen Yunxiang, who found a 10,000-year-old auspicious place in the area of Taipingyu Xinglongzhuang in Yizhou, and after returning to the palace, he focused on recommending it to Yongzheng.

According to Yongxiang, here the west of the Yunmeng Mountain is bordered by Taining Mountain in the north, and the hilly land in the east is bordered by the Yishui River in the south, which can be called the area of Qiankun Juxiu, the place where the sun meets, the dragon's den sand and stone, no beauty and no harvest, the situation is rational and auspicious.

For Yongzheng, looking for too long a cemetery did not find a good one, Yun Xiang found such a wonderful cemetery at this time, he was really very satisfied.

But of course, Yongzheng also understood that you said that this cemetery was hundreds of kilometers away from his father and grandfather, which was too far, what would future generations say?

When he conveyed this doubt to his subordinates, the gang under Yongzheng was not a fool, they understood that Yongzheng was optimistic about this land, but they were embarrassed to ask for it.

What to do? The courtiers quoted the scriptures and found a large number of seemingly very reasonable bases, saying that although the tombs of the Han and Tang Dynasties were all built in Shaanxi, the tombs of Emperor Jingwu of the Han Dynasty were distributed in Xingping County, Chang'an, Xianyang, and the tombs of Tang Gaozu Tang Taizong and Emperor Xuanzong of Gaozong were also scattered in Pucheng and other places in Sanyuan Qian County.

That is to say, when the Han and Tang Dynasties were prosperous, the emperors did not circle the tombs in one place, so the Qing Dynasty was naturally called the prosperous world, so naturally they could imitate the Han and Tang Dynasties.

With this reasoning of the group of ministers, Yongzheng finally made up his mind, or used Yun Xiang to choose this land to build a mausoleum for himself, of course, this has become one of the doubts of later generations.

Some people said, why did Yongzheng choose so far? It was because his father was killed by him, so he felt ashamed in his heart, and he did not dare to bury him next to Kangxi.

And when it came to Qianlong, why did Qianlong choose to be buried next to his grandfather instead of his father? Qianlong made a special explanation on this matter.

He said you see my grandfather and great-grandfather buried in Tanglin, my father buried in Xiling, if I choose to sleep next to my father, then I am afraid that my sons and grandsons will also choose to go to Xiling for burial.

Then after the tombs of Kangxi Ye and Shunzhi Ye were too deserted, so Qianlong said that he would set a rule in the future, my father buried Xiling I buried Dongling, my son buried Xiling, my grandson buried Dongling, generation after generation to change places.

In this way, since Qianlong, the choice of tombs of successive emperors has been standardized, so we have the Qing Eastern Tombs and the Qing Western Tombs, but of course, it is difficult to say whether Yongzheng is usurping the throne.
