Later, forced by the encirclement and suppression of the Kuomintang reactionaries, Xiao Quanfu followed the troops out of Dabie Mountain, during which he experienced countless fierce battles.
During this period, Xiao Quanfu was seriously injured twice, especially the second time when his right leg was injured by a bomb dropped by an enemy plane.
This injury left a special "memorial" for Xiao Quanfu, whose right leg was shorter than his left leg, which made him a "short-legged" general unique among the founding generals.
Don't look at this, there is still the title of "Flying Tiger" in the army, which shows that Xiao Quanfu's style of conduct has never dragged mud and water, and commanding battles is even more vigorous.
This style continued throughout Xiao Quanfu's entire combat career, especially during the Liberation War and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and later in the Zhenbao Island Conflict. In 1947, when the Liberation War entered a critical moment, Xiao Quanfu accepted orders from his superiors to break the Bac Ninh Railway.
