1. The Chinese volunteer army completely withdrew from Korea; 2. The North Korean Army disarmed; 3. The United Nations took measures to prohibit third parties from providing all assistance to North Korea; 4. All international conferences related to the ROK required the participation of ROK representatives; 5. Safeguarding the sovereign territorial integrity of roks.
01 Under the passive weakness of Syngman Rhee, why did he put forward these five tough statements?
I have to say that this is directly related to The Character of Syngman Rhee. Born into a family of princes and aristocrats, Syngman Rhee embraced Confucianism from an early age, especially the authority and strong nationalist ideas that his father had long instilled in him.
In the United States, Syngman Rhee has rich interpersonal relations, and has a deep understanding of the American Rhee's way of thinking and the bottom line of doing things, so in this negotiation, Syngman Rhee forcefully put forward a five-point statement, which can not only consolidate the rights in his hands and stimulate internal unity among the nation, but also contain North Korea and let the United Nations recognize South Korea's position in the international community.
In fact, it is equivalent to acknowledging his identity and blocking the armistice negotiations, which will make Syngman Rhee shine again and use the us military to unify Korea.
In addition, once the military demarcation line was effectively established, it was probably a fantasy for the South Korean army to attack North Korea, and there was no reason for the US military to intervene again, so for these reasons, Syngman Rhee protested against the cessation of the civil war.
02 While fighting, he talked about "killing chickens for monkeys to see" and completely eliminated Syngman Rhee's arrogance
Our volunteer army originally wanted to negotiate in a peaceful way, but it did not expect to kill a cheng and bite the gold halfway, and the arrogant attitude towards Rhee, in the end, our army was completely angered and had to choose to "talk while fighting, killing chickens to show the monkeys, as long as he is not honest, we will punish him."
So the Battle of Jincheng was completely launched, and after the US scouts learned that the volunteer army had made a large-scale transfer to Jincheng, they directly acted as a handshaker and let the US troops withdraw from the 38th Line, and the defensive task fell to the Han Sixth Division.
After the artillery fire of the Battle of Jincheng began, our army quickly occupied all positions in only 21 minutes, annihilating 53,000 enemy troops in the first stage, capturing more than 30 tanks, and shooting down more than 80 enemy aircraft.
In the second stage, a total of about 41,000 enemy people were killed, wounded, and captured by the entire Jincheng Campaign, our army annihilated nearly 90,000 enemy personnel, severely attacked Rhee's arrogance, and promoted the conclusion of the Korean armistice agreement.
Unfortunately, after Syngman Rhee became the new president of South Korea, he coveted power, committed many evil deeds, slaughtered innocent people, and finally angered the dissatisfaction of the Korean people, and was eventually forced to flee overseas and died alone in Hawaii.
If he had not made a five-point tough statement, perhaps the Sino-Korean armistice agreement would have been brokered earlier, and the poor man would have something to hate, and Syngman Rhee's incomparable ugliness doomed him to a sad ending!
