author:Teacher Chunqiu talked about history

The Shunzhi Emperor was the father of the Kangxi Emperor, and everyone may not know much about his achievements, but they are certainly very familiar with the touching love story between him and Dong Efei.

The Shunzhi Emperor was the first emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and during his reign, he worked hard to rule, except for the southeast coast, the territory of the whole country was basically unified. Shunzhi was politically ambitious.

At the same time, the Shunzhi Emperor was also an infatuated emperor, and his love story with Concubine Dong Efei has been passed down to posterity to this day. He was undoubtedly a heretic in China's thousands of years of history.

The sentimentality of this son of heaven, his romance and sorrow, made him less like a politician and more like a poet. He envied the monastic life of the world, and did not linger on the glory and wealth and the imperial power of the country. This is also rare among the emperors of the Chinese dynasties.

At the same time, the Shunzhi Emperor was also a rare infatuated emperor in history. He is stubborn, spontaneous, and once obsessed with a woman, it is difficult to extricate himself.

He loved Dong Efei deeply and could disregard any political influence and disregard the scorn of the people of the world. As soon as Concubine Dong died, the Shunzhi Emperor no longer lingered on the earth. The legend of his love with Dong Efei has endured for hundreds of years.

The Shunzhi Emperor married his brother's wife, and the love between the two was touching

The Shunzhi Emperor's favor for Concubine Dong is well documented. Princess Dong was originally the wife of Shunzhi's younger brother Boguo'er the Prince of Xiang, but later, when Shunzhi saw that she was beautiful, he forced Prince Xiang to die and incorporated Princess Dong into the harem.

According to legend, Princess Dong was the daughter of a Han general who had been stationed with her father. Later, she became the wife of Shunzhi's younger brother Bo guo'er.

Once, when Princess Dong was receiving a reward in Beijing, she met the Shunzhi Emperor on the outskirts of the city. After returning to the palace, the Shunzhi Emperor was obsessed with her, and then often took the opportunity to recruit Concubine Dong into the palace, and the two performed a poignant love story.

Dong E's talent is intelligent, easy to read history books, fine calligraphy, has a unique charm gentle and understanding of the quiet temperament beauty, and high understanding.

In 1657, Concubine Dong gave birth to the fourth son of the Emperor, and Shunzhi was so overjoyed that he offered sacrifices to heaven and earth and accepted the courtesy of his courtiers (when the fourth son of the Emperor was born, the kings, belles, beizi, gong and first assistant ministers all offered horses and satin to celebrate the birth of the emperor's first son).

Shunzhi then held a grand celebration to celebrate the birth of the first son, and the treatment of this child after birth was even like a concubine, and then there was a general amnesty.

When Princess Dong had just entered the palace, she was made a noble concubine by Shunzhi, and the fourth son of the emperor she gave birth to was called the first son by Shunzhi.

Shunzhi and Dong Efei became a famous loving imperial couple in history. After her death, the much-loved Dong E reached the pinnacle of her life, and she was posthumously honored as Empress Xiaoxian by Shunzhi. Although it is said that she died to be posthumously crowned empress, as a woman, she can become the highest rank empress of a woman, and Princess Dong Efei has reached the highest goal in life.

After Dong Efei's death, she was also buried with Shunzhi. As one of shunzhi's many concubines, although Dong Efei's life was short, she was also lucky.

The Biography of Empress Xiaoxianzhuang and Zhide Xuanren Wenhui Duanjing, written by jin zhijun of the Qing Dynasty university at the behest of the emperor, says:

The empress was also fond of reading, and was gifted with a keen talent, and she had read all the Confucian classics called the Four Books, as well as the Zhou Yi in the Five Classics, such as the Analects, Mencius, Zhongyong, and University. Not only can the sentences be memorized, but also the principles of the sages' self-cultivation and rule in the world, as well as the laws of the rise and fall of the world, they all have a deep understanding, and they like to copy the calligraphy of the ancients, and have reached the realm of proficiency and neatness. ”

The "Draft History of the Qing Dynasty and the Biography of Hou Concubine" has the following account of Dong Efei:

"Dong Eshi, the daughter of the Minister of the Interior, entered the service at the age of eighteen, was particularly generous in the upper family, favored the three palaces, and was made a concubine in August of the thirteenth year, and an imperial concubine in December.

Not to mention that Princess Dong E, as an imperial concubine, was second only to the empress in the harem, it is said that the Shunzhi Emperor granted amnesty to the world when he was crowned as an imperial concubine, which was already a very unusual sign. Shunzhi did not grant amnesty to the world twice in the eighth and eleventh years, and it is not difficult to see the unique position that the imperial concubine Dong Eshi had in Shunzhi's heart.

Although the Shunzhi Emperor had three palaces, six courts, and seventy-two concubines, he was only fond of Dong Efei. As soon as Concubine Dong died, the Shunzhi Emperor was devastated.

When Princess Dong died of illness at the age of 22, the Shunzhi Emperor was in pain, crying and living, and even looking for death, so that his mother, Empress Xiaozhuang, had to let people around him guard him to prevent him from committing suicide.

In order to express his grief, the Shunzhi Emperor built a water and land dojo in Jingshan and carried out a funeral. The eunuchs and 30 palace maidens were given death, and they were allowed to wait for their concubines in hades.

At the same time, he ordered the nation to mourn, officials in January, and the people for three days. The Shunzhi Emperor asked the scholar to write a tribute text and ordered the ministers of the imperial court and the relatives of the emperor and the state to go to the weeping tomb.

The Shunzhi Emperor also personally wrote the affectionate, 4,000-word "Duanjing Empress's Deeds" to mourn his beloved wife, recalled the various past events of Concubine Dong E, and posthumously named her "Filial Piety and Zhide Xuanren Wenhui Duanjing Empress".

The sorrow of the amorous Son of Heaven can only be expressed in these ways.
