Our place of work is the west area of Hebei Institute of Engineering Information, where close contacts and sub-close contacts are accepted, whether on duty or rest, as long as a large number of isolated personnel arrive, all staff will be ready to go and actively devote themselves to work. Receiving quarantine personnel, registering personnel information, explaining isolation precautions, calming emotions, measuring body temperature, arranging daily necessities, and ensuring the safety of quarantined personnel and staff are all in great detail. Everyone helps each other to twist into a rope, fighting for a common goal, the epidemic is merciless, there is affection in the world, winter will not last long, spring will eventually come! I still remember the shock and suddenness of the lockdown in Wuhan in 2019, and the streets and alleys of the city were empty overnight. With the outbreak of the epidemic, medical teams from all over the world gathered and rushed to Shijiazhuang to support. On January 18, 2021, I had the honor of being a member of the "Wei County Aid Stone Medical Team" and set off for Gaocheng, Shijiazhuang, which was already a high-risk city at that time. Although there are risks in fighting the new crown epidemic, I am sincerely proud to be able to participate in the battle as a soldier. When everyone cheered "Farewell to the hero and look forward to the hero's triumph", at that moment, I felt that I was already a hero in armor!
Entering Gaocheng, I really experienced the meaning of "empty city". The empty city seemed to be at a standstill, every house was sealed, and the only thing that could be seen on the road were disinfectants in protective clothing. Our work location is the isolation point in the west district of Hebei Institute of Engineering Information Technology, the task is to guard the quarantined personnel, ensure their safety, arrange living and living, collect nucleic acids, body temperature measurement, environmental disinfection, soothe emotions, deal with emergencies, and complete the busy work every day under the premise of protection. Quarantined personnel are close contacts, there are many confirmed cases are confirmed from the isolation point after being transferred to the designated hospital, all the work must be well protected, protecting the isolation personnel is our duty, but also to protect ourselves, and that dull and heavy protective clothing is our armor!
The isolation work is not only carried out by our medical staff, including volunteers from all walks of life, they are responsible for the provision of catering, they are responsible for the elimination between buildings, they are responsible for the cleaning of medical waste, they are responsible for the transfer of confirmed patients, they are responsible for registering various information, they are responsible for psychological counseling of quarantined personnel, and so on. They are a large group of people, ranging in age from the ground to the old age, but they are also doing their best to actively cooperate with the quarantine work. The staff cheered them on and they responded with words of gratitude to the staff.
