Born as a master, dead as a ghost. Still thinking about Xiang Yu, he refused to cross Jiangdong. --Li Qingzhao
In the history of our country, Xiang Yu, the king of Western Chu, is famous, he not only destroyed the rule of the Qin Dynasty, but also as a "loser" was written into the ranks of "Benji" by Sima Qian (only emperors will be in this era), which shows its extraordinary features.
However, such a heroic figure was defeated by Liu Bang. For such a result, many people in history feel sorry, because Liu Bang and Xiang Yu are not worse than one point or two.

It is worth mentioning that in the ten years of competition between Chu and Han, Xiang Yu once shot An arrow from Liu Bang in Chenggao, and although this arrow failed to kill Liu Bang, it added an unwritten rule to chess. So, what kind of story is hidden in this? Let's talk today.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="6" > the story of chess</h1>
Chess in China is a very popular game, its origin has many theories, there are sources that say that chess originated in the Shennong period, and some people say that chess originated in the zhou wu king period;
Some people also say that chess originated in the Warring States period, such as: "Cover the warring states with soldiers, so people use the image of war as a chess posture." After the Qin state, the people were influenced by the Chu and Han hegemony, so they added the four words "Chu River Han Boundary".
Now we commonly use chess, according to legend, the Tang Dynasty cattle monks and children made, he formulated the chess pieces into two shi, xiang, car, horse, cannon each, plus 1 marshal, 5 soldiers, a total of 16 pieces.
At the same time, there are 32 red and black halves, a total of 32, the titles of the enemy and us are not the same, if it is "will die" or "trapped", one of them wins, which is almost the same as the current rules.
There is also a very interesting saying, chess was transmitted to China by India through the Silk Road, of course, such a statement has also been criticized and refuted by many people, but in the world chess is still based on the Indian origin theory.
In any case, chess has a very long history in China, and in order to improve this culture, many people have made certain contributions "intentionally" and "unintentionally", and Liu Bang and Xiang Yu are one of them.
In the matter of Chu and Han fighting for the throne, Xiang Yu once shot an arrow at Liu Bang out of anger, and by chance, chess had an unwritten rule, which has continued to this day.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="15" > Liu Bang and Xiang Yu Chu Han competed for the throne</h1>
Friends familiar with history know that the Great Qin Empire was a very short-lived dynasty, and after its collapse after only fourteen years in history, the world fell into turmoil again after the fall of the Qin Dynasty, the most powerful of which were Liu Bang and Xiang Yu.
It is reported that Liu Bang's grandfather was originally the Duke of Wei Guofeng, and later passed down to Liu Bang's father's generation, and by the time of Liu Bang, he became a small pavilion chief of the Qin Dynasty.
However, Liu Bang relied on his own efforts to ascend from a small Surabaya pavilion chief step by step to the throne of the "King of Han", and his talents and strength could not be underestimated.
Xiang Yu was a descendant of the Xiang clan of the Chu State, born into an aristocratic family, he read a lot of military books when he was a teenager, coupled with the kung fu of ten thousand enemies, and became the overlord of the crowd.
However, the two formed a vendetta because of the agreement that "the first to enter the customs is the king". The specific reason is that Xiang Yu fought hard in the area of Julu, but Liu Bang easily entered Guanzhong from the south, so Xiang Yu was very unconvinced, so there was a Hongmen feast.
Later, when Xiang Yu was dividing the world, he sealed Liu Bang to the land of Bashu. In this regard, Liu Bang was very unconvinced, and in the years of Bashu, he was paid to taste his guts and "obscenely" accumulated his own power.
Finally, a few years later, he relied on Han Xin to fight out Bashu and chase deer in the Central Plains, and the chu and Han dynasties of hegemony began, and the fact that a war could be fought for ten years showed how many twists and turns there were.
For this historical story, the film and television drama "The Legend of Chu Han" has also been interpreted, in the early stage of the conquest, Liu Bang was always beaten by Xiang Yu and fled, and Liu Bang was like a small strong who "could not die", in the moment of crisis, he was always able to escape xiang Yu's siege.
After accumulating enough strength again, he will start a new round of competition with Xiang Yu, but most of them end in failure. Later, Liu Bang "learned to be proficient", and since he could not fight, he used a "protracted war" to drag Xiang Yu down.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="23" > chenggao, an arrow from Xiang Yu</h1>
It is said that after "escaping" from Xingyang again, Liu Bang planned to rely on his strong logistical support to launch a tug-of-war with Xiang Yu, and the two confronted each other in the area of chasm and Chenggao.
Liu Bang owned the Bashu granary, coupled with occupying a large area of fertile land in Guanzhong, and Xingyang was relatively close to Guanzhong, so it had a huge advantage in logistical support.
On the other hand, Xiang Yu was different, the chasm was far from Pengcheng, the base camp of the Chu State, and the years of conquest had made the people of the Chu State miserable, and Peng Yue and others were constantly harassing his logistical supply line, and the situation was very dangerous.
In this situation, Xiang Yu wanted to fight a quick battle, but Liu Bang and his army did not come out in Chenggao City, which made the former very anxious. Therefore, Xiang Yu wanted to blackmail Liu Bang with "cooking and killing Old Lady Liu" and making him bow his head and surrender.
Seeing such a scene, Liu Bang did not care at all, he said: "Before, the two of us worshiped as brothers, then my father was your father, and now you cook and kill your father is not filial piety..."
After listening to Liu Bang's words, Xiang Yu was furious and wanted to really kill Liu Taigong, but was stopped by the people around him. There was nowhere to vent the anger in his heart, and Xiang Yu suddenly raised his bow and arrow, aimed at Liu Bang and shot it.
Because Liu Bang did not pay attention, coupled with Xiang Yu's incomparable strength, this cloud-piercing arrow was very fast and directly hit Liu Bang's chest, fortunately it did not hurt the point.
In order to stabilize the hearts of the army, Liu Bang had been pretending to be calm and enduring pain, and said to Xiang Yu: "Your arrow technique is not good, do you know where you shot it?" on my feet. Then he went down for treatment.
Years later, Liu Bang defeated Xiang Yu and established the Han Dynasty. However, he died a few years after the founding of the country, and many scholars say: "His death has a lot to do with the old wound in the chest."
Then again, although the arrow shot by Xiang Yu did not kill Liu Bang that year, the chess game had an unwritten rule from then on.
Now, when playing chess, we often hear such a saying: "Horses walk the sun, elephants walk in the fields, cars take straight roads, soak rice mountains, and the generals must never meet each other..."
Why "generals must never meet each other"? The source of its historical allusions is the arrow that Xiang Yu shot at Liu Bang, and the meeting was a dead end, and the game was over. Of course, if someone blocks "this arrow (see)", it is a different situation.
As the saying goes, art comes from life and is higher than life, from the above stories, chess culture is broad and profound, behind the 32 pieces, various rules, there are some small stories.
To this day, although some of these cultural stories have been lost, some still exude brilliance, allowing more people to experience the profundity of Chinese culture.
