Recently, Xie Ping, member of the Party Committee and vice president of the Export-Import Bank of China, met with Zhang Hui, deputy general manager of China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CITIC Insurance), and the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on promoting high-quality cooperation between banks and insurance in the new development stage.
Vice President Xie Ping said that CITIC Insurance is a comprehensive strategic partner of the Export-Import Bank, and the two sides have maintained a close cooperative relationship over the years, jointly supported China's foreign economic, trade and investment development and international economic cooperation activities, and actively played an important role in stabilizing growth, adjusting the structure, supporting foreign trade development and the construction of the "Belt and Road". After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, overseas country-specific risks have further increased, citic insurance has rich experience in country-specific risk research, and is at the forefront of the industry, hoping that the two sides will further strengthen cooperation in market expansion, product application, country-specific research and risk disposal to maintain the stability and safety of overseas business.
Deputy General Manager Zhang Hui said that CITIC Insurance and the Export-Import Bank of China have a long history, and the two sides have established a multi-level strategic cooperative relationship with a total score, which has made positive contributions to jointly supporting the development of China's foreign trade. Last year, CITIC Insurance expanded its coverage, optimized its service level, and successfully completed its tasks in the face of difficulties. In the context of the complex and changeable foreign trade situation, it is hoped that the two sides will continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of project development, information sharing and project review.
During the talks, the two sides also had in-depth exchanges on major overseas projects that are being promoted.
