On January 14, at the press conference on the import and export situation in 2021 held by the Information Office of the State Council, some media asked: Under the epidemic, traditional trade has been seriously impacted, and new formats and models such as cross-border e-commerce have played an important role in ensuring orders, markets and shares. Can you please introduce the import and export situation of China's new trade formats in 2021.

In this regard, Li Kuiwen, spokesman of the General Administration of Customs and director of the Department of Statistical Analysis, said that new formats and models such as cross-border e-commerce and market procurement are a living force for the development of China's foreign trade and an important trend in the development of international trade. Since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, China's cross-border e-commerce has given full play to the advantages of online marketing, online transactions, contactless delivery and other characteristics, and actively cultivated new advantages in participating in international cooperation and competition, and the scale of import and export has continued to grow rapidly.

First, in terms of cross-border e-commerce, B2B export pilots have been fully rolled out, and new models such as "China-Europe express trains" and "collective re-export" have been integrated and developed. In order to help cross-border e-commerce export enterprises better explore the international market, in the second half of 2021, the cross-border e-commerce B2B export supervision pilot will be officially copied and promoted in the national customs, and the supporting policies will be continuously improved. At the same time, cross-border e-commerce special trains such as "Shanghai Cooperation Demonstration Zone - Minsk", "Yixinou", "Suxinou", Hefei to Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven and other cross-border e-commerce trains have been opened and normalized, realizing the integration of "China-Europe Express" and cross-border e-commerce models. Customs statistics show that in 2021, China's cross-border e-commerce imports and exports will be 1.98 trillion yuan, an increase of 15%; of which exports will be 1.44 trillion yuan, an increase of 24.5%.

Second, in terms of market procurement, the scale of exports exceeded 900 billion yuan. With the expansion of the national market procurement pilot, China's market procurement exports in 2021 will be 930.39 billion yuan, an increase of 32.1%, accounting for 4.3% of the total export value in the same period, driving export growth of 1.3 percentage points.
