Different from the one-way knowledge transmission of traditional teaching, Xie Ping also pays attention to the two-way interaction with students in the classroom, and smells some avant-garde and trendy atmosphere from their feedback.
"Art students are not necessarily good at written expression, but the graduation design is a deep thinking and the expansion of the theoretical foundation, we use a set of methods to innovate all aspects of the graduation design, but also established many rules." Xie Ping said.
In 2008, when Xie Ping was the head of the Department of Fashion Art and Design, he designed and launched the "Graduation Design Manual", which was continuously updated and improved, and is still used by various colleges.
In addition to attaching importance to classroom teaching, Xie Ping also actively participates in practice, from the beijing institute of fashion "2008 Beijing Olympic Games opening and closing ceremony costume creative plan" chief writer, to the National Day 60th anniversary of the mass parade costume director, she has always been in the front line.

Xie Ping at work is deeply thoughtful and tireless, and she still maintains this state in her life. From 1994 to 2008, Xie Ping used his spare time to concurrently serve as a special planner and writer for the "Fashion Garden" column of Beijing Television, becoming one of the earliest fashion critics in China.
"In those days, the experience of tv stations broadened my horizons, and fashion trends gradually became one of the directions of my research." Xie Ping said.
Not satisfied with the days of "peace and security", Xie Ping has always moved forward in the direction of a fashion speaker and practitioner, and constantly corrected and improved himself.
From fashion design to fashion communication, Xie Ping, who has the courage to challenge, ushered in her cross-border career in 2014 as the professional leader of communication science (fashion communication).
From a blank piece of paper to the approval of Beijing's first-class professional, behind the hard work of Xie Ping and the team: in 2016 and 2017, the "Beifu Fashion Communication amp; Fashion Design Excellent Graduation Design Works Exhibition" organized the teacher and student team to undertake the planning, publicity and promotion of major activities such as Beifu Fashion Week, the 18th IFTI Academic Conference, IYDC International Young Designer Invitational Competition, China International College Students Fashion Week and "Splendid China" Intangible Cultural Heritage Clothing Show, the Second Xiong'an Clothing Culture Festival, And Dunhuang International Cultural Fair, etc., and opened up a new model of practical teaching.

It is better to teach people to fish than to teach people to fish. In Xie Ping's view, in addition to teaching students basic professional knowledge, it is also very important for universities to guide and cultivate healthy aesthetic concepts.
