At the age of 15, Zhang Wenqiu was admitted to the Wuchang Girls' Normal School, and it was here that Zhang Wenqiu came into contact with the revolutionary ideas spread by Dong Biwu, Yun Daiying and others, and gradually gained revolutionary consciousness.
At that time, China experienced the defeat of the two Opium Wars, and the subsequent signing of a series of unequal treaties, coupled with warlords and warlords, harsh taxes and miscellaneous taxes and fees in various places, and the people's lives were in dire straits, and countless people with lofty ideals wanted to find a cure for this suffering country to save the country and save the people.
It was in this context that communist thought had a foundation for taking root in China, and Zhang Wenqiu, who was full of enthusiasm, also resolutely chose to devote himself to the revolution.

Because of the harsh atmosphere of white terror at that time, in order to be safe, Zhang Wenqiu had to be separated from Liu Qianchu, the husband of newly married Yan'er, and with the help of local compatriots, he lay in a coffin and escaped in the name of funeral.
After that, Zhang Wenqiu traveled to many places to look for organizations, but unfortunately the organization at that time had been seriously damaged, and Zhang Wenqiu had no choice but to return to his hometown to try to restore the organization there.
However, the situation in his hometown was the same as in other places, and Zhang Wenqiu did not succeed in the end, and could only escape from Jingshan again. This time, she chose to stay in Wuhan.
There is a secret contact point left by the organization in Wuhan, and after she got in touch with the connector "cousin", the "cousin" took her to see her superiors, and according to the instructions of the superiors, she needed to pretend to be a husband and wife with a comrade to carry out underground work.
Zhang Wenqiu believes that she has been engaged in open work, and has been married, afraid of not doing well, the organization told her: "It is because you have been married, this job is not indispensable to you." Zhang Wenqiu only then dispelled his concerns and said that he obeyed the organization's arrangements.
As a result, Zhang Wenqiu, alias "Li Lijuan", appeared in front of the world as a primary school teacher.
The organization has strict discipline for underground work, such as the two sides must not have a conjugal life, but also stipulates that if one party has a family lineage, the other party is strictly forbidden to pursue, and "Mr. Li", who lives with Zhang Wenqiu, abides by discipline very well, and their relationship has always been a revolutionary comrade, and the cooperation is very tacit.
However, the good times did not last long, because the comrades in charge of the superior were arrested, Zhang Wenqiu was forced to transfer, and the mission ended without results.
In June 1929, Due to the traitor's informant, Zhang Wenqiu and her husband Liu Qianchu were arrested one after another, and after organizing all-out rescue, Zhang Wenqiu was finally rescued, but Liu Qianchu was killed by the reactionaries on April 5, 1930.
Before the execution, Liu Qianchu sang the "International Song" on the execution ground, and the song drifted for a long time in the air above the execution ground.
On March 2, 1930, Zhang Wenqiu and Liu Qianchu's daughter was born, and Zhang Wenqiu named her "Liu Siqi".
After his release from prison, Zhang Wenqiu was dispatched by the organization to pretend to be married to Lin Yunan, who was Lin Biao's cousin and an important leader in the early days of our party.
At that time, Lin Yunan's public identity was "Boss Zhao", a returned overseas Chinese from Nanyang, while Zhang Wenqiu was pseudonymous "Zhang Yiping".
Zhang Wenqiu explained his name to Lin Yunan in this way: "I have been running east and west for many years, drifting and uncertain, so it is better to take the word 'Ping' of duckweed." After Lin Yunan listened, he was very appreciative of this hero.
In 1930, Soviet power was established one after another throughout the country, and the Central Committee, after comprehensively considering the situation at that time, considered it necessary to set up an organization to lead the revolutionary work of the whole country, and for this reason, it was necessary to set up a preparatory body in Shanghai first, and Lin Yunan and Zhang Wenqiu, the "husband and wife", were the responsible persons selected by the organization.
They chose a two-story building, and during the day, out of the needs of work, they went in pairs, and at night, the two slept separately and respected each other.
Zhou Enlai once went to their residence and reminded Zhang Wenqiu that he should make the play more realistic, such as putting men's clothes on hangers and men's slippers on the bedside, so as not to arouse the suspicion of outsiders.
On May 20, 1930, the National Soviet Regional Congress was held at the "Zhao Mansion" in Shanghai, and Zhou Enlai declared that "Boss Zhao" and "Mrs. Zhao" wanted to make a birthday for the elderly in the family, cleverly avoiding the secret agent's note.
After Lin Yunan's death on February 7, 1931, under the arrangement of Zhou Enlai, Zhang Wenqiu met Wu Zhaoguo, a German-Chinese, and continued to pretend to be a husband and wife to cover the work of the famous Soviet agent Zorg. This mission was done very well, but unfortunately, after the mission, Wu Zhaoguo had no news, and his life and death were uncertain.
The fourth "husband" arranged for Zhang Wenqiu in the organization was sacrificed because of the betrayal of the traitor, and Zhang Wenqiu took care of the aftermath for him as a "wife".
After the outbreak of the All-out War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Zhang Wenqiu rushed to Yan'an, the holy land of revolution, in 1939, and worked on the hidden front for so long that she finally returned to her "home", and her excitement can be imagined.
In Yan'an, Zhang Wenqiu successively worked in the Supreme People's Court, the Anti-Affiliated School and Lu Xun Primary School, and a relationship also quietly arrived at this time.
Zhang Wenqiu's second official husband, named Chen Zhenya, was an old Red Army soldier and a beloved general under Peng Dehuai, and like Zhang Wenqiu, he also had rich experience in fighting against the enemy.
In October 1938, the two had a daughter named Zhang Shaohua, which was later renamed Shaohua.
The two are husband and wife, but also comrades-in-arms, the warmth of the small family can only be temporary after all, both of them have been under house arrest by Sheng Shicai for up to a year, and later Chen Zhenya was instructed by Sheng Shicai to be a doctor and assassinated in a hospital bed with poison.

He returned to Yan'an and became a relative of Mao Zedong
In the spring of 1946, Zhang Zhizhong was appointed director of the Kuomintang Northwest Camp and chairman of Xinjiang Province. When he came to Zhang Wenqiu, Mao Zedong still recognized her who was much thinner at a glance: "Comrade Wenqiu, you have finally returned, but it is really not easy, what about Si Qi?" How come I didn't see her? ”

Within a few days, Mao Zedong sent someone to pick up Siqi to play at home, and Mao Anying was also there, and in this way, the two young people met in Mao Zedong's cave.

At that time, Zhang Wenqiu was very busy and often could not take care of the daughter of the family, so Si Qi often took his sister Shao Hua to his home to play with Mao Anqing.
