Synopsis of the "Twins" repertoire
The story begins with a casual viewing of the film, and the fate of Fang Suo, a middle school history teacher, changes - the supporting actor named Anton who appears in the film is exactly the same as his own facsimile, from his appearance and voice to the mole on his arm and the scar on his knee. Who is he? Lost twins? Purely biological wonder? Or a devious replica of the assembly line of creation? The presence of this Cool Shaw easily disrupts the order that Fang Soo is trying to maintain, and morality and sanity are swept into a vortex of chaos. In the midst of fear, curiosity and paranoia, he begins a frenzied investigation into this strange "twin"...
About Twins
The drama "Twins" makes extensive use of multimedia technology, striving to condense the emotions in the original text and extend the inner world of the characters. Using poetic stage vocabulary to present a variety of narrative forms, reconstructing the "magical reality" with a very Saramago temperament. The recapital version of the exploration of video and performance will be more mature, with both the fun of experimental drama and the tension of realism. The two characters are completely integrated into one, presenting the audience with a "performance marathon" in which one person plays the triangle.
Original: José Zaramago
Twins is based on the novel of the same name by The Portuguese national treasure writer and Nobel Laureate in Literature, José Zaramargo, and is genuinely licensed by the Salamago Foundation.
José Zaramago, representative works such as Chronicles of the Monastery, The Tale of Blindness, Twins, Elephant Travels, etc. In 1995, he was awarded the Cammons Prize for Literature, the highest award in Portuguese literature. In 1998, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature and the first Portuguese-speaking writer to win the Nobel Prize in Literature for his "allegorical stories full of imagination, sympathy and satire that constantly deepen our understanding of illusory reality".

Creative team
The Bobcat Theater Troupe is a new generation troupe founded by a group of post-90s dramatists, composed of young dramatists from first-class professional acting schools in China such as Chinese opera and North Dance. The team is committed to creating a variety of contemporary performances, based on literature, integrating experimental elements such as images, limbs, paintings, and installations, and exploring the infinite possibilities of theatrical art in a limited theater space.
Director Profile
Young director Screenwriter Designer
He is the director of the Big Bobcat Theater Troupe, the Master of Directing Department of the Central Academy of Drama, and the Bachelor of Stage Art Design of the Beijing Dance Academy. He has directed "Twins" and "It Takes a Few Steps to Put the Moose in the Trash". Most of his works focus on the spiritual dilemmas of contemporary life, and are committed to exploring the boundaries of textual expression in visual language. He has devoted himself to the practice of drama creation for many years, and has explored the art of multiple fields such as screenwriting, directing and stage technology. He has worked in the Lin Zhaohua Drama Invitational Exhibition, the Beijing New Dance International Art Festival, the technical director of the tour of "Spirit desire on the Strings"; and the prop design of Christian Lupa's work "Alcoholics Can Not Be".
Director elaborated
It is a play adapted from Saramago's novel Twins. At first, it seems to be misconstrued as a suspenseful work with sci-fi overtones. However, as the plot progresses, the audience will gradually join Fang Suo in opening the "Pandora's Box" containing human nature and self-will.
In the deconstruction of novels to dramatic texts, I have adapted the original to a certain extent, and tried to extend the stage time and space through multimedia technology, presenting a variety of narrative forms with poetic stage vocabulary, to reconstruct the "magical reality" that conforms to Theramago temperament. The truth of everything is hidden behind the seemingly absurd logic.
Rather than condemning the choice of roles, I hope someone can see their plight. Just like in creation, we ask each other countless times, if you encounter the same situation, what would you do?
When you look at the stage, you may see yourself.
