Since the founding of the party, many outstanding communists have emerged, who have made selfless contributions and fought for the cause of the party and the country.
They fought against warlords, against landlords and gentry, against the Kuomintang reactionaries, against the Japanese aggressors. Among these excellent Communists, although the number of women is relatively small, their contributions and sacrifices are also not small.

In March 1949, Chairman Mao was stationed in Beiping from Xibaipo, and found a woman in the greeting procession, who happily stepped forward, shook her hand, and said happily: "You are still alive!" ”
This woman who made Chairman Mao so worried was called Li Jianzhen, and she was still the "barbaric big sister" trusted by the Soldiers of the Red Army at the beginning, what contribution did she make during the revolutionary years that Made Chairman Mao treat her so specially?
The chairman entered Beiping and was pleased to see the "brute big sister"
On March 23, 1949, the sky over Peiping was cloudless, and golden sunlight sprinkled all over the city.
The city was full of joy, and PLA fighters lined up everywhere to patrol and help the people resume their post-war production, life and work.
At Beijing's Nanyuan Airport, when the plane was parked, the chairman and other entourage came out of the cabin, and all the greeters outside the stadium gave a warm welcome and applause.
This entry into Beiping means that the Communist Party is about to usher in the day of liberating the whole country, and it is necessary to form a new China that belongs to the people. Beiping is also about to become the capital, known as Beijing!
Walking through the warm welcome line, Chairman Mao also waved left and right, smiling and responding to everyone.
Suddenly, Chairman Mao's waving hand stopped, because he saw a familiar figure in front of him, a female cadre who was enthusiastically clapping.
Chairman Mao walked over, happily shook her hand, and his face was full of surprise smiles from the long-lost reunion, and he said happily: "Comrade Li Jianzhen, you are still alive!" ”
Feeling the temperature in Chairman Mao's palm, this female cadre named Li Jianzhen was also very excited, she shook the chairman's hand, and also said happily: "Chairman, I am still alive, and if the revolution is not victorious, I cannot fall!" ”
The people present laughed happily; everyone was an old revolutionary who had fought warlords and walked through the snowy mountains and meadows, and they also knew the deeds of Li Jianzhen, the elder sister, and they were not surprised by Chairman Mao's concern.
The reason why Chairman Mao was so surprised and happy to see Li Jianzhen again was because when she and her husband Deng Zhongming were in Jiangxi in 1938, when they were carrying out the reorganization of the New Fourth Army, they unfortunately encountered the enemy, and her husband died heroically, and she was rescued by her supporting teammates and escaped with her life.
It was all this news that reached Chairman Mao, but it became that Li Jianzhen and his wife had both sacrificed, and Chairman Mao was very sad about this.
Because Li Jianzhen was a very good female Communist Party member, she was very good at carrying out work in the base areas behind enemy lines and uniting with the masses, and Chairman Mao had personally met her, and she was a rare talent.
Chairman Mao even personally praised her, saying: "You female comrade, you are not simple! Therefore, after many years of separation, chairman Mao suddenly saw Li Jianzhen, who was "resurrected from the dead," it is not difficult to understand our surprise and happiness.
Let's take a good look at Li Jianzhen and see what contributions she has made to the party.
The self-improvement of the child bride
Li Jianzhen was a Native of Guangdong, born in 1907 in a very poor family in Xiaosheng Township, Fengshun County, Guangdong Province, and his father was only a sharecropper, and there was no way to support so many mouths in the family.
Therefore, less than a year after Li Jianzhen was born, he was sold by his father to the Zhu family in the next village as a child bride. The new family is not rich, but the in-laws treat Li Jianzhen like their own daughters, without discrimination.
Li Jianzhen grew up like this, and since she was a child, she helped her mother-in-law to do housework, and she had to help do big and small things outside the home and in the field stove.
In such a tiring day, Li Jianzhen felt very dissatisfied with her fate of being bought and sold like a pig and a cow, and she also saw many women like her, working hard all day, and even being beaten and scolded by her family. The idea of changing her destiny brewed in her mind, and the opportunity soon arrived.
When she was 19 years old, her cousin, who was attending a foreign school outside, brought a person back and borrowed a house at her house.
This person was Peng Pan, who was launching a peasant movement in Guangdong at this time, and the vigorous peasant movement also swept into her small village.
Peng Pan held a temporary meeting in the backyard of her family to discuss with everyone the establishment of peasant associations at all levels and to unite everyone to struggle.
When Li Jianzhen heard what the reader said about "organization" and "revolution," he was confused. But she did not pretend not to understand, but bravely asked questions.
Peng Pan also patiently explained to her that it is to be like us shaking fists, five fingers to hold up the strength, we peasants united to fight against those black-hearted landlords!
Li Jianzhen understood this time, and her heart was also fiery, which seemed to be different from her previous busy day and unchanging days. She asked eagerly, "Can a woman like us organize herself?" ”
Peng Pan smiled, did not look down on her, but said with certainty: "It is completely possible!" For women to be emancipated and men to be equal, they must be organized. ”
Then Peng Pan also used the outstanding women's deeds that emerged in other places to inspire her, and this completely opened the door of Li Jian's true heart, and she clenched her fists excitedly and kept saying: "Good! Good! ”
So in this way, Li Jianzhen united and led several other good sisters in the village to join the peasant association, doing the same work as other men, crossing the mountains and mountains during the day, going to publicize and do peasant work, and learning and exchanging experiences within the association at night.
Such a fulfilling and purposeful day was something she had never had before.
Li Jian was really bold, cheerful and spicy, and active, so everyone elected her as the team leader. In her work, she constantly learned knowledge, constantly enhanced her revolutionary consciousness, and more agreed with the party's ideas.
From child bride to county party secretary
In this way, Li Jianzhen joined the Communist Youth League and the Communist Party one after another and became the secretary of the league branch of the local self-defense army. In 1927, Li Jianzhen actively responded to the autumn harvest uprising led by Chairman Mao, threw himself into the revolutionary uprising, and launched a struggle against the local black-hearted landlords and bad squires.
She did things fairly and justly, opened warehouses and released grain, established armed organizations, and actively united with the masses, carried out the struggle against rent and interest reduction, and carried out women's coaching classes to make more women independent.
Li Jianzhen has never forgotten her dissatisfaction with the fate of women at the beginning, so everywhere she goes, she actively carries out work to call on women to liberate themselves and become independent, so that women can also stand up to half the sky.
Later, during the fifth anti-encirclement and suppression campaign, in order to increase the productivity of the base areas, she also put forward such a slogan: Every working woman bravely stepped onto the production front, as heroic as a Red Army soldier in the line of fire.
Such a slogan of equality between men and women has greatly encouraged the women who have always been resigned, and everyone has gone outside the house to devote themselves to the large-scale construction of large-scale production in full swing, showing their self-confidence and independence.
Back in 1929, Li Jianzhen was praised by the central inspectors for his excellent work, so he was subsequently transferred to the Central County Committee of the Communist Party of China as the secretary of the Women's Committee.
The position has been raised, but Li Jianzhen has not forgotten his original intention, still conscientiously do his own work, never sit in the office and give orders, but has been running outside and working with the masses.
In 1930, Li Jianzhen was again transferred to work in the organs of the Minxi Special Committee, and Li Jianzhen, who had just come to the mountainous areas of western Fujian, was not familiar with life.
But she is not afraid, she has her own magic weapon! This magic weapon is to sing mountain songs!
Li Jian, who came from a peasant background, really knows that when dealing with the peasants, they can't understand many big truths, but everyone can sing songs, everyone sings together, and the party compiles catchy lyrics for the good of the poor. And singing songs, everyone passed ten, ten passes a hundred, there is no better propaganda work.
Therefore, Li Jianzhen, who had just come to the mountainous areas of western Fujian, made up a very easy-to-understand mountain song according to the actual situation, and everyone carried out a peasant movement and a large-scale production movement together in the song.
The song sings like this: "Don't be afraid of robbers, don't be afraid of stealing, don't be afraid of white ghosts coming to burn down the building!" It did not matter that the old building was burned down, and the revolution succeeded in building a new building. The red flag was raised and the Red Army of workers and peasants had strength. In the later years of communism, the world was fought, and the reaction was not long. ”
So in this way, everyone sang this mountain song full of enthusiasm to each other, everyone did not distinguish between each other, and everyone was happy and harmonious, and everyone knew that there was a female cadre in the Red Army who could sing mountain songs.
Li Jianzhen's excellent work was once again praised by her superiors, and she also began to create more mountain songs, using mountain songs to organize publicity work, and achieved good results.
She created a lot of mountain songs in her life, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, she also collected and published "Li Jianzhen's Selected Hundred Mountain Songs", which are rare precious red memories.
Later, the Minxi Special Committee decided to establish the PROVISIONAL COUNTY COMMITTEE OF Tingdong, and Li Jianzhen was appointed by the central authorities as the provisional secretary of the county party committee.
As a result, Li Jianzhen grew from a child bride who was ignorant in the old society to the only female county party secretary in the red revolutionary base area of the country, which would have been unimaginable in the past.
Li Jianzhen deeply felt that the burden on his shoulders was very heavy, so he did not dare to slacken off. Mobilizing the masses to carry out the agrarian revolution, forming local armed forces, organizing production, going into the mountains to suppress bandits... One task after another was arranged by her in an orderly manner.
Later, Chairman Mao and Zhu De led the Red Fourth Army into western Fujian and were stationed in Changting, where Li Jianzhen worked. Chairman Mao met Li Jianzhen at this time and listened to her work report before Chairman Mao praised Li Jianzhen as mentioned at the beginning of the article: "You female comrade, you are not simple! ”
"Wild Big Sister" on the Long March Road
Li Jianzhen has a nickname, called "Wild Big Sister", and the reason why she is called this nickname is because she is cheerful and neat, bold and spicy, and dares to say and dare to scold.
After the failure of the Party's fifth anti-encirclement and suppression campaign, the main force of the Red Army was forced to move, thus beginning the Long March, which was commemorated by countless people later.
During the Long March, Li Jian was one of the few female warriors who followed the Long March. During the Long March, Li Jianzhen served as the political instructor of the Recuperation Company.
At that time, Dong Biwu was the secretary of the general party branch of this company, and once said that this company was a "special company." What was the reason?
It turned out that the recuperation company was not that they could recuperate, but that they were responsible for the recuperation of the wounded soldiers, and at the same time they had to ensure the safety of several pregnant women.
This company, with more than three hundred people up and down, was responsible for the health and recuperation of the whole army, and they had to follow the large troops non-stop, and they had to take care of the wounded soldiers while trekking day and night.
After the Red Army crossed the Chishui River for the second time, the Red Army attacked Loushan Pass, and after capturing Zunyi, a special patient was sent to the recuperation company.
It turned out that this patient was the political commissar of the Fifth Division of the Red Third Army, called Zhong Chibing. In the battle against Loushan Pass, he fearlessly led the charge, rushed into the enemy position, and launched a fierce white-knife battle.
The battle was won, but his left leg persisted in fighting after being hit by an enemy bullet, and was later infected and was confirmed to have tetanus after being sent to the recuperation company.
After research, the general branch of the party could only save his life by amputation.
So Li Jianzhen told Zhong Chibing the news, but when Zhong Chibing heard that he was going to saw off his leg, he immediately started a fire and scolded: "You instructor, if you dare to saw my leg, I will shoot you!" How can I join the revolution without legs! ”
Li Jian, who has always been hot, really did not get angry, and she also understood Zhong Chibing's mood, and anyone who was told to saw off a leg would not feel good. She gently repeatedly persuaded and explained the situation, which made Zhong Chibing quiet.
Later, the situation on this side was reported, and Zhou Enlai issued verbal instructions after understanding it, saying that the leg should be sawn off, and he could take a stretcher after the operation, but at any time, it should not be stored in the homes of ordinary people.
Dong Biwu and Deng Yingchao came together to persuade and convey Zhou Enlai's meaning, and Zhong Chibing finally reluctantly accepted the fate of amputation.
Zhong Chibing, who lacked one leg, has since been "permanently stationed" in the recuperation company, and the people of the recuperation company have been carrying stretchers to take him away, during which time he has also become acquainted with Li Jianzhen and apologized for his previous anger.
Once, while on the way to the march, the troops suddenly encountered the enemy, and it was the civilian husband who was responsible for carrying the stretcher, and several civilians threw down the stretcher and ran.
Li Jianzhen did not immediately flee and take refuge, but summoned guards, re-carried Zhong Chibing, who had fallen to the ground, on a stretcher, and retreated safely under the cover of the rear guard troops.
In this way, during the twenty-five-thousand-mile Long March, Zhong Chibing had been carried to his destination by Li Jianzhen's recuperation company, and he had always been obsessed with Li Jianzhen's life-saving grace, and after he was later awarded the rank of lieutenant general, he saw That Li Jianzhen would also affectionately call "Sister Li"!
While marching into Yunnan, Hou Zheng, the company commander of the recuperation company, had problems with his feet and faced the fate of being put in the shelter.
As early as the mountain march in Guizhou, his feet in straw shoes had been worn out, and at that time he had been given a horse, and if he had ridden on a horse, he would have recuperated his wounds on the horse, and his feet would not have fallen to the point where they were now festering and pus because of the sewage.
The reason he did not use the horse was that he did not want to waste this precious driving force, and gave it to the frail comrade, who insisted on walking. But now his feet were festering and pusy, and he couldn't move a single step.
There are stretchers in the team, but there are only more than 10 pairs, and each stretcher cannot be used casually and must be approved. Neither he, the instructor nor the company commander, could use it illegally.
Just when Li Jianzhen was still persuading the company commander to mount his horse, the commissioner who was sent to the recuperation company to inspect the work discovered Hou Zheng, who was seriously injured and sick, and immediately proposed to put him in the homes of ordinary people.
Li Jianzhen immediately stopped doing it, and his fiery temperament flared up again, and he immediately objected: "Hou Company Commander has done a lot of things for the company, and the company cannot be managed well without him." The company commander just had an injury to his foot, and as long as he got on his horse, it would be fine in a few days, and I would not agree to send him away! ”
The commissioner was stubborn and still insisted on his own opinion, and he asked Li Jianzhen, "He can't walk now, he can't control the company, are you responsible for what happened?" ”
As the saying goes, there are only wrong names, no wrong nicknames.
Li Jianzhen, the "barbaric big sister", was on fire at that time, and a wild and reckless momentum rushed up, directly crossed his waist and shouted: "I can't guarantee when the company commander's injury will be good, but I can guarantee that I can help the company commander to walk on horseback." He didn't have enough horses, and my horse could ride for the company commander. I can manage the work of the company, and I am responsible for the accident! ”
The two leaders quarreled directly in the crowd, and the warriors all gathered around and looked at the two red-faced men. Neither of them obeyed the other, but later the superiors came out to mediate, and finally agreed to let Hou Zheng's company commander continue to stay in the company and let the horse ride to recuperate and march.
Time passed like this, and when preparing for the large meadow in Maurgai in the northwest, the company commander was ordered to be transferred, and several female comrades who were familiar with work and work were also transferred, while the old wounded were still there, and the pressure was all piled on Li Jianzhen's shoulder at once.
Busy at work, but also to complete the daily marching task, once, one careless, Li Jianzhen's foot was pierced by a tough grass root on the skin and flesh of the foot.
Li Jianzhen, who was busy working, did not care much, but she was soaked in the sludge on the grass, and she quickly encountered the situation of her former company commander, the soles of her feet began to inflame and fester, and she was soon swollen and could not wear grass shoes.
She did not dare to be careless, she knew that if she could not follow the team in this vast meadow, there was only one ending left behind, that is, death.
She went to the doctor to quickly bandage it to prevent the infection from continuing, then found a piece of raw cowhide, poked a few holes, and wrapped her feet tightly to prevent them from continuing to get dirty.
She found a stick to use as a crutch and limped along with the troops. Dong Biwu, who knew her situation, came to persuade her to get on the horse and recuperate on the horse, but the stubborn Li Jianzhen had another "brute force", because there were other weak and injured female comrades who needed it more at that time, they were riding in turn, and they could still hold on, and they didn't need horses!
At the end of August, the troops had completely stepped out of the vast grassland on this side, and when li Jianzhen reported on the situation of the troops, he proudly and confidently said: "We walked in the grassland for seven days and seven nights, and in addition to the sacrifice of The commander of the Mao Company, all of them walked out of the grass safely. ”
This miracle was achieved under the leadership of Li Jianzhen! She will always be the enthusiastic "big sister" of the warriors!
The Long March is a smokeless war, there are no spears and cannons, but countless people have fallen on this road, the tragic Long March Road is made of blood and tears, and the texts we learned when we were children, "Forever Monument" and "Golden Fish Hook" are to praise the great Long March spirit of the soldiers of the Red Army.
