  On October 26, 2021, Zhao Shuguang, member of the party group and deputy director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province, led an inspection team to inspect tourism safety and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction of scenic spots in Pingshun County. Liu Linsong, deputy secretary of the Pingshun County CPC Committee and county magistrate, and Niu Lumin, deputy governor of Pingshun County Government, accompanied the inspection.

Affected by continuous heavy rainfall and upstream flood discharge, landslides occurred in scenic spots such as Chibi Suspension and Tongtian Gorge in Pingshun County, and the facilities of scenic spots were washed away, and the infrastructure was damaged to varying degrees. Zhao Shuguang successively went deep into the Chibi Suspension Scenic Spot and the Mid-Levels Cave Hotel, inspected the damage to the scenic landscape, infrastructure, and recreational facilities, inquired in detail about the disaster losses, risk assessment, etc., and put forward guidance on the investigation and rectification of potential safety hazards, post-disaster reconstruction, and the restoration and opening of scenic spots.

Zhao Shuguang stressed that cultural and tourism departments at all levels and relevant enterprises should fully implement the requirements of Shanxi Province on flood prevention and disaster relief and post-disaster recovery and reconstruction, consolidate responsibilities at all levels, carry out a thorough assessment of the disaster situation in scenic spots, check for hidden safety risks, revise and improve the emergency plan for flood prevention and disaster relief in scenic spots, and resolutely prevent the occurrence of secondary disasters. It is necessary to strengthen responsibility, coordinate the forces of all parties, solidly and meticulously promote flood prevention and disaster relief and post-disaster reconstruction, and strive to minimize the loss of scenic spots.
