Dou Shanping's musical enlightenment came from the family, his father would sing Shanxi Zizi, and his brother would pull a good erhu. He has loved music since he was a child.
Dou Shanping and violin were related when he was 8 years old, and he described it as "love at first sight". Until the age of 13, Dou Shan Pingyong had the first piano in his life, and he still remembers that the piano cost more than 90 yuan, the quality is average, but it carries his original musical intention, "very precious".
At that time, violins were relatively rare, and there were no good conditions for learning the violin, and Dou Shanping basically relied on self-study. With the love of "love at first sight", I insist on getting up early every day to practice.
In 1981, Dou Shanping was admitted to Nanjing Aeronautical Institute (now Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics), became the backbone of literature and art, and also formed a string quartet group, "The four of us, two violins, a viola, a cello, can get together is very rare." We have rehearsed many pieces such as Mozart's G major and string quartets, Haydn Serenade, Erquan Yingyue, etc., and have also received special guidance from teachers at Nanjing University of the Arts." "At the beginning, I could only send 15 seconds of video, I heard that I had to do a good job and have a certain accumulation to get a minute of permission, and I thought that it would not be a year and a half", but I did not think that the video was loved by netizens, and it was unlocked in a few days. The first popular work was "I Love You, China" filmed at Miaofeng Mountain, which received 70,000 or 80,000 likes.
When he met Douyin, Dou Shanping ignited his enthusiasm for acting and sharing, and further unlocked the live broadcast function with the help of his daughter, and he still clearly remembers that the first live broadcast was May 1, 2020. "I don't fix the live broadcast, but when I am there, the fans are there, which makes me very moved," Dou Shanping said.
Most of his fans are music lovers, especially those who like familiar works, but also simple listeners, and it has become a habit to listen to him play the piano every day. They affectionately called him "Teacher Dou", gave him praise and encouragement, reminisced about the red date trees in his hometown with him, and felt the cooking smoke of street vendors together.
