Although later generations in addition to admiring their predecessors, they like to put some non-sticky words on the heads of celebrities, such as the famous Lu Xun, who carries hundreds of hard-inserted "famous sayings and famous sentences".
However, the ugly person should not look closely, such classic quotations, the world really did not wrongfully accuse Qian Zhongshu, and indeed he had said something!
It can be seen that the literati Qian Zhongshu occasionally has moments of approaching the fireworks of the world and "merging with the world"!

In addition, in qian Zhongshu's daily life, there was also a scandal that he refused to mention in his later years, that is, the story of a fight with his neighbor Pu Liangpei (Lin Fei) in 1973.
In order to record this deed that made qian Zhongshu's family angry and dissatisfied, his wife Yang Dai also specially published an article titled "From "Mixing Sand" to "Exile"" in Southern Weekend, publicly stating the ins and outs.
Tracing the beginning of the matter, we have to talk about it from 1949, when Qian Zhongshu returned to Tsinghua to teach and the family moved to the social science dormitory at No. 15 Ganmian Hutong in Beijing.
From going to England to study in 1935 to returning to China to teach in 1938, Qian Zhongshu and his wife spent nearly twenty years running around, and because of the war, they moved to many places and have not settled down.

And now, this social science dormitory, although old but large enough to accommodate a family, has done a good job of fulfilling the simple wish of Qian Zhongshu and his wife.
The social science dormitory has a total of four rooms, one is used as Qian Zhongshu's study, one is the bedroom of the old couple, and the other is where daughter Qian Zhen and son-in-law Wang De live.
The remaining small house, then separated as a kitchen with a toilet.
Don't look at this dormitory sparrow is small, but it is complete and can fully meet the daily needs of the family.
A family of four runs this otherwise empty dormitory very warmly and organized. However, in 1966, their family broke into the "uninvited guest".
This person is the neighbor who clashed with Qian Zhongshu and his wife, Lin Fei and his wife.
During the special period, Qian Zhongshu and his wife did not escape the bad luck, and were regarded as "bourgeois academic authorities" and entered the "cold palace", not only losing their jobs, but also facing endless criticism.
In order to better supervise and investigate such "academic authorities" as Qian Zhongshu and Yang Dai, Lin Fei and his wife at that time sent Qian Zhongshu to their social science dormitory as representatives of the masses.
In 1969, in the face of the arrival of Lin Fei's big son, Qian Zhongshu did not have any right to oppose, and could only get along with anger and wealth, but could save a lot of trouble.
However, it is not only the supervisor Lin Fei and his wife who come, but also their elders and descendants!
With so many people crowding in, Qian Zhongshu had to move out two empty rooms for them to live in, and the more private toilets and other spaces became universal.
It is said that Lin Fei, born in 1931, is also the best among young literati, graduated from the Department of Chinese of Fudan University, and has a lot of research on scholarship.
Such Lin Fei should have a lot of common topics with Qian Zhongshu, and may also become a rare pair of unforgettable friends, but the subsequent development is not as harmonious as imagined.
As a hostess, Yang Dai has always presided over these long and short families, and in order to get along well with Lin Fei's family, she has also taken the initiative to help Lin Fei's wife Zhao Fengxiang with children.
Although at that time, Yang Dai was already an old bone, and Zhao Fengxiang and Lin Fei were in their prime, Yang Dai still undertook the physical work of helping to carry the child's cradle upstairs.
Presumably, in Yang Dai's heart at that time, his own heart and lungs had already taken lin Fei's family as a close neighbor.
Unfortunately, in the heart of Zhao Fengxiang, he had received this love at all.

Because I was born into a family of intellectuals in The Qing Dynasty, the tutor I received from childhood was "not to be fed by food" from childhood.
Therefore, Yang Chen's various kindnesses, instead of closing his relationship with his neighbors, were counterproductive to make people hate!
In 1969, Qian Zhongshu's family and Lin Fei's family had been neighbors for half a year without incident, and then Qian Zhongshu and Lin Fei went to the "May Seventh Cadre School" as an "advance team" for reform.
At this point, although Lin Fei and his wife may have some opinions about the Qian Zhongshu family, there has never been a positive conflict because of the superficial work that the literati should maintain.
Until 1970, while Qian Zhongshu was still reforming, his son-in-law Wang De was forced to commit suicide at home.
Obviously, it is a matter of great sorrow and great sorrow, but Zhao Fengxiang, who cannot empathize with it as an outsider, used this to smear the Qian Zhongshu family in later articles.
She writes:
Her son-in-law, who occasionally appears, heard that he is the second in command of a well-known "rebel faction" at a famous university in Beijing... Unable to bear the gloomy and angry colors of his mother-in-law's house, he committed suicide by hanging from an old tree stump on the university campus.
But in fact, Wang De committed suicide because he lost his freedom and suffered from fabricated lists, leaving innocent people under the pressure of criticism.
In 1972, Qian Zhongshu, Yang Dai, and Lin Fei, who had been delegated, all returned to Beijing, and the two families lived in social science dormitories.
The following year, the farce began in the building of the social science dormitory.
Regarding the specific time, according to Yang Dai, it should be December 2, but in Zhao Fengxiang's statement, it became December 7, and the two also held their own views on the cause of the conflict.
Yang Dai wrote:
December 2nd is Sunday, everyone's bathing day. My family invited an hourly worker Xiao Chen to wash clothes. The revolutionary woman (Zhao Fengxiang) also wanted her to wash, and she was bound to wash her first.
In the face of Zhao Fengxiang's unreasonableness, Qian Yu, who was present at the time, spoke up, saying that Xiao Chen was invited by their family, even if Zhao Fengxiang wanted Xiao Chen to help, then he had to talk about coming first and coming later.
However, obviously, Zhao Fengxiang did not listen to this reason.
She stood tall and slapped Qian Yao's face, and the evil person complained first: You are not a good person!
Lin Fei in his later years
It is worth mentioning that Qian Yu is as old as Zhao Fengxiang, if Zhao Fengxiang's slap is from the elders to teach the younger generations, then there is some truth, unfortunately, Zhao Fengxiang's resentment is so unfounded.
Presumably, since Zhao Fengxiang became a "representative" of the masses, he has never regarded the Qian Zhongshu family as a good person in his heart, but has only grasped the shortcomings of the sesame seeds.
Qian Yu was obviously confused by this sudden slap, and for a moment she didn't know how to react. Yang Dai, who still heard the noise and rushed to the scene, happened to see the bullying side of her daughter.
"Out of my mother's instinct, I didn't measure up to myself and immediately rushed up to fight back."
At this time, Qian Yu came back to her senses and did not want her mother to fall into a dispute again, resulting in an irreparable ending, so she went forward to pull Yang Dai and said: "Mother, don't -"
Then, Qian Yu saw that the pull could not move, and the two people entangled and fought together, so they had to turn their heads and go to the director of the neighborhood committee.
Zhao Fengxiang
At this time, the husbands of the two entangled women heard the movement outside and joined the fight.
Qian Zhongshu rushed from the study, grabbed a wooden stick and hit Lin Fei fiercely, Lin Fei was not willing to show weakness, and smashed Qian Zhongshu with his fist.
Don't look at Qian Zhongshu and Yang Dai, who are more than twenty years older than Lin Fei and his wife, in this fight, the two old men did not let Lin Fei get good fruit to eat.
Yang Dai bit down on the finger of Zhao Fengxiang, who took the initiative to provoke trouble, and bit her finger fiercely to the point of blood, while Lin Fei's face was also colorful, blue nose and swollen face.
Qian Yu

Obviously, he provoked things himself, but in the end he suffered a dull loss, Zhao Fengxiang was extremely unwilling to think about it afterwards, and in her article, the first sentence wrote the outcome of her defeat.
"On that day, my husband Lin Fei was severely beaten with a big stick, and my own fingers were bitten and bloodied. The man beat him with such force that the rod in his hand immediately broke into two pieces. ”
In the end, it was Qian Yu who came with the people of the neighborhood committee to calm this storm, but just like Zhao Fengxiang vented his resentment in the article, Lin Fei and his wife have always been grumpy about this defeat.
And Zhao Fengxiang also said that sooner or later it will be returned.
Qian Zhongshu and his wife are old, where dare such a fight and brawl incident come again, in the face of the personal threats of Lin Fei and his wife, they can only endure and move to Qian Yu's campus dormitory.
Since you can't afford to provoke, can't you hide?
In this matter, no one obeyed anyone, yang Dai and Zhao Fengxiang continued to compare their skills in the article to see who could clearly explain the truth of the matter.
In Zhao Fengxiang's clarification, she described the conflict of events as:
On December 7th, when I had just returned to Beijing from the suburban countryside, I asked my sister-in-law to wash the clothes I had brought back from the countryside for me, because I had to take my son to the countryside a few days later, and the time was tight, so I asked my sister-in-law to wash it quickly.
However, the biter (Yang Dai) deliberately raised the bar and insisted that Yu Sister-in-law wash her first, she had more time than me, why should she be so anxious, so she quarreled.
Suddenly she stretched out her arms to grab my face... Unexpectedly, she grabbed my right index finger with both hands, quickly shoved it into her mouth and bit it fiercely...
In the words of Yang Dai and Zhao Fengxiang, whether it is time or characters, or the reason for the conflict are completely different, after this matter continues to ferment, the truth is not known.
Later, according to the narratives and clarifications published by these people, the outside world also found the clues.
First of all, when Zhao Fengxiang and her husband Lin Fei described the reasons for the conflict with the Qian Zhongshu family, they were vague and deleted, and their purpose was obvious, that is, to dominate public opinion.
Secondly, in the events written by Zhao Fengxiang, there is no existence of Qian Yan at all, which seems to be deliberately to ignore the fact that he did it first.
Finally, the key time and character in Zhao Fengxiang's article are not matched, and Yang Dai still remembers this matter, so after a few years, he remembers that it was Sunday, December 2, and the calendar of that year seems to be that it was indeed Sunday.
However, Zhao Fengxiang's memory of time was vague, and the nanny Yu Sister-in-law she mentioned had also resigned long ago, and there was no such thing as helping her wash her clothes.
And Xiao Chen, the dormitory building written by Yang Dai, does have his own person.
Moreover, even if it is an accusation, Mr. Yang Dai has never thought of clearing his stain, how she did it, biting Zhao Fengxiang and other details, all in detail, in order to restore the facts.
However, Zhao Fengxiang and Lin Fei never mentioned that they took the initiative to beat people and fight back, intending to preserve their innocence.
From these clues, it seems that who is lying can be seen at a glance.

In the face of Lin Fei and Zhao Fengxiang's slander, Mr. Yang Dai was under great pressure to make the events of that year public, which required her to recall the bad memories of the past.
And Qian Zhongshu, who helped his wife and daughter out of the way, was unwilling to recall this farce in the future.
In Qian Zhongshu's view, the fight insulted his identity as a literati, and he also felt that fighting with people was really a disgraceful thing, so Qian Zhongshu did not participate in the follow-up argument.
Qian Zhongshu is a person with a straight heart, but the decency and cultivation that should be there cannot be lost, he once commented on his own wrong thing, sighing: With whomever you are, you will fall to what level.
Of course, leaving aside this matter, the achievements of Lin Fei and his wife Zhao Fengxiang in learning are also undeniable, this matter is a stain on both sides of the conflict, and no one can be left alone.
In his later years, Qian Zhongshu was also a cute and strange old man, and his wife, Mr. Yang Dai, often complained about his strangeness, for example, Qian Zhongshu once helped his own cat fight!
During the period of living in Tsinghua Garden, Qian Zhongshu and his wife's neighbors were still the magnificent Lin Huiyin and the architectural talent Liang Sicheng.
Qian Zhongshu and Lin Huiyin have a common hobby, that is, they like round hair and love to raise cats.
Qian Zhongshu once had a particularly intelligent kitten, and he was also extremely spoiled and cared for this cat, but this cat was also naughty, and in the middle of the night, he always fought with other cats.
In order to keep his kittens from falling behind, Qian Zhongshu specially prepared a long bamboo pole to lean on the door.
As long as he heard the kittens outside the window barking, Qian Zhongshu would crawl out of the bed no matter how cold it was, and use bamboo poles to help his kittens fight.
And Qian Zhongshu's kitten has a favorite opponent, that is, Lin Huiyin's little black cat, the two cats are every three forks and five to compete.
Qian Zhongshu saw that his cat was bullied by Lin Huiyin's cat, and he also did not care about face and politeness, and still wanted to help his cat teach his opponents.
Lin Huiyin is also a cat lover, and his little black cat is not willing to fight on weekdays, but Qian Zhongshu blindly protects the short, so that the little black cat eats some embarrassment.
In this regard, Mr. Yang Dai often had to chant a few words, afraid that Qian Zhongshu's short-term protection would hurt the harmony with Lin Huiyin's family!
Of course, in the end, Lin Huiyin did not think too much about this matter, and Qian Zhongshu and his wife also moved out of Tsinghua Garden.
