1. Cao Cao and the Generals
I remember a friend of mine, when talking about why Cao Cao was able to succeed, said: The reason why Cao Cao can become such a big thing is not only because of his own strong ability and proper protagonist-like brilliance. What's more, Cao Cao can always give up the stage in a timely manner and give it to his subordinates to perform.
If you think about it, it seems that this is really the truth. For example, Lü Bu used to be very bullish, rubbing Cao Cao and beating Liu Bei violently, but it was his elder brother who emitted light and heat, and his men except for a Chen Palace were almost all black under the lights. Zhang Liao, the fierce general of the Three Kingdoms, is this not the case? When lü Bu was under him, who knew that there was Zhang Liao?

Therefore, they all forced the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and had to warm up Zhang Liao in advance. It was when Zhang Liao was ordered to attack Xiao Pei, and Guan Yu stood at the head of the city and shouted: "The public appearance is not vulgar, why did you lose yourself to a thief?" Zhang Liao bowed his head and said nothing. Yun Chang knew that this person had the spirit of loyalty and righteousness, and he did not add up with evil words, nor did he go to war.
Then Zhang Liao withdrew, and Zhang Fei wanted to go out in pursuit, but Guan Yu hurriedly dissuaded him and said the famous words: "This person's martial arts are not under you and me." ”
Flipping through the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" can make everyone look like Guan Yu, who "sold the head of the standard", such a modest person, except for his third brother Zhang Fei, is Zhang Liao. The so-called, first there is a heavyweight identification and warm-up, and then Zhang Liaowei zhen Xiaoyaojin, which is logical.
Guan Yu himself was also in this situation, and his most shocking historical slash was done under Cao Cao's hands! Therefore, Cao Cao's tolerance for surrendering generals can be described as famous, and he has always given them heavy use. Therefore, it is not too much to say that Cao Cao "can get out of the stage" - so-called, the cause is a group of people's business, the reason is here.
Therefore, among Cao Cao's five great strategists, the most vicious Jia Xu was a general. The Five Sons of Liang will directly become the descending generals, and the three most famous and most cattle are all descending generals. Xu Huang was originally the first fierce general under Yang Feng. Zhang Liao was a general under Lü Bu. Zhang Gao was Yuan Shao's subordinate!
All of them were greatly exerted because they followed Cao Cao, shining on the stage of the Three Kingdoms - Xu Huangfancheng defeated Guan Yu, Zhang Liao hefei abused Sun Quan, Zhang Gao let Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang, these two Shu Han bigwigs were jealous.
This is where Cao Cao's or man speaks. However, although Cao Cao has always been tolerant and important to the generals, it is strange that only such demotions will be the exception. What kind? Let's look at three examples.
2. Lü Bu and Guan Yu
Cao Cao's exemplary figure for tolerance and reuse of generals was Guan Yu. Both the main history and the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" are very much displayed, and everyone is also familiar with it. Therefore, the author only discusses why Cao Cao is so different from Lü Bu and Guan Yu - for Guan Yu, Cao Cao is a corporal of Li Xian, and for Lü Bu, Cao Cao is very damaged.
Quite simply, the identity is different, Lü Bu is the identity of the lord, a prince of one side, and because he killed Dong Zhuo, he has influence and appeal. That is to say, even if Liu Bei did not stir up trouble on the white gate, Cao Cao would not leave Lü Bu behind. why?
Cao Cao held Emperor Xian of Han, he was actually equivalent to the trumpet Dong Zhuo, if Lü Bu surrendered to Cao Cao and also came to the imperial court, would this make Emperor Xian of Han and those anti-Cao forces have "path dependence"? At the same time, Cao Cao himself, how can he sleep soundly?
At that time, Yuan Shao was like a mountain, if Cao Cao and Yuan Shao went to war, how to arrange Lü Bu? Put Xu Du? Cao Cao did not dare. Bring around? Cao Cao didn't dare! Therefore, in a strict sense, Lü Bu did not belong to the category of surrendering generals, but was a defeated prince!
Isn't the same true of Ma Chao? He defected to Zhang Lu and made Zhang Lu feel abnormal. Later, liu Bei returned, and as a result, a fantastic thing happened, the combination of Zhang Fei and Ma Chao was actually defeated by Cao Hong! This is still the case of Ma Chao's side, without the general (Pound surrendered to Cao Cao).
Lü Bu is obviously an upgraded version of Ma Chao, Cao Cao recruited Lü Bu, so gao shun, Zhang Liao, such a fierce general, is it to listen to Cao Cao, or Lü Bu?? This is not what tiger breeding is.
Looking at Guan Yu again, he was another cow, that is, a member of the warriors. At that time, Liu Bei's life and death were unknown, and Cao Cao's career was in a period of expansion, so the demand for talents was quite high, and the excessive love for Guan Yu was actually a special case.
Lü Bu is not in the category of demotion, and Guan Yu is a special case. After excluding these two famous Three Kingdoms figures, it is only then that the data (arguments) are meaningful after the two extremes are discussed and not tolerated by Cao Cao.
Third, the rear general Zhu Ling, why is it an exception?
People who have seen "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" will probably feel sorry and strange about Zhu Ling's encounter.
Chen Shou seemed to be very upset with Zhu Ling, and directly placed him after the five sons of liang generals, declaring: Ling Hou is a good general, and ming Ya Huang and so on.
This means that Zhu Ling later became a general like a five-son general. It's just a pity that the fame and so on are slightly inferior to Xu Huang and other five sons and good generals. The subtext is that Zhu Ling is a strong contender for the Five Sons. It is not even excluded that the appearance of "six sons and good generals" will appear. Why?
The explanation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms is that Taizu often hated Zhu Ling and wanted to take his camp... Later, he really let Yu Bandan ride into the camp and seized Zhu Ling's military power. From then on, Zhu Ling was silent, and it was not until after Cao Cao's death that he took the lead and was given the title of "Hou General", so there was the phrase "Ling Hou is a good general, and his name is Ya Huang and so on.".
So why was Cao Cao so intolerant of Zhu Ling? It should be noted that in the early days of Cao Cao, Zhu Ling abandoned Yuan Shao, who was in the sky, and took the initiative to submit to Cao Cao. His seniority was earlier than that of Zhang Liao, Zhang Gao, and so on. In order to illustrate this issue more clearly, let's first look at an incident in Zhu Ling's early days.
Before Zhu Ling surrendered to Cao Cao, he was a general under Yuan Shao, and once Yuan Shao sent Zhu Ling to beat Gongsun Zhan. It just so happened that Zhu Ling's family was in the city guarded by Gongsun Zhan. So Gongsun Zhan tied Zhu Ling's mother and brother to the head of the city, in order to blackmail Zhu Ling: Dare to attack the city again, kill your whole family!
Zhu Lingwangcheng wept, "Once the husband is born and is a man, will he take care of the family!" "This means that I am now a general under Yuan Shao, how can I manage the stability of the people anymore?" So he ordered a siege of the city.
This thing, how to see how wrong. If you change to liu bang, Cao Cao, Liu Bei, such a big brother level figure, I am afraid that no one will think that it is wrong - after all, these people, you can not guess them according to the thinking of ordinary people. But turning into Zhu Ling was obviously too cruel!
To use modern parlance, if it is a boss, he is the most important thing in his career, 996 is the greatest blessing, and he does not hesitate to abandon his wife and children, and no one will say anything. If you are a part-time worker, but you are also in this realm, is there something wrong? Do you say this is stupid, or is it impersonal?
Pushing back Cao Cao, he had zhu Ling, the number one general under him, calling him stupid? No way! Excluding "stupidity", there are only two situations.
First, since he was so loyal to Yuan Shao, why did he suddenly abandon Yuan Shao and defect to Cao Cao? Is it Yuan Shao undercover?
Second, people without humanity, who dares to reuse? Even the old mother's life and death are disregarded, not to mention Cao Cao, that is, Liu Bei will feel cold behind his back.
Therefore, there is a special case of Cao Cao's intolerance of the general Zhu Ling, and does not reuse it!
That is to say, surrender was originally for their own better development or to save their lives, which is a win-win situation, which Cao Cao also understands. But if there is no human touch, it is an exception - after all, if you want to do things, you must first learn to be a person. This is an iron law that no one can veto!
