When Macbeth won the war, three witches sowed the seeds of temptation on him, and the witches predicted that he would sit on the throne that symbolized the supreme ruler. If Macbeth was tempted by the king's power at the beginning because of the witch's prediction, this reason is not very strong, because Macbeth was brave and invincible, and had become a solid backing for the country. Even King Duncan had to rely on Macbeth to defend his country.
