I used to make two pounds of rice at a time, first wash the round glutinous rice and then soak in water for at least four hours, sometimes wash the rice before going to bed, put it in the refrigerator, take it out the next morning to restore the room temperature more convenient, and then drain the water and steam it dry with a steamer for 40 minutes, crush the rice grains with my fingers and don't see the white rice hearts are steamed.
