A little knowledge of some of the non-conforming items
1. The total number of colonies
The total number of colonies in this sampling test of 1 batch of meat products did not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards. The total number of colonies is indicative of microorganisms, not pathogenic bacteria. It is mainly used to evaluate the cleanliness of food and reflect whether the food meets the hygiene requirements in the production process.
2. Cadmium
One batch of cadmium for edible agricultural products did not meet the national standards for food safety. Cadmium is one of the common contaminants of heavy metals. Cadmium and its compounds are toxic and metabolized slowly in the human body. The United Nations Environment Programme and the International Committee on Occupational Health heavy metals have included cadmium as a priority environmental pollutant for study; the World Health Organization has made it a priority food contaminant for study.
Iii. Sodium 4-chlorophenoxyacetate
This sampling inspection of 2 batches of edible agricultural products sodium 4-chlorophenoxyacetate does not meet the provisions of the national food safety standards. Sodium 4-chlorophenoxyacetate is an intermediate in the central nervous system stimulant meclofenyl, originally used for plant growth regulation. Sodium 4-chlorophenoxyacetate can promote biosynthesis and biotransferment in plants, which can not only prevent falling flowers and fruits, improve fruit making rate, improve fruit growth rate, promote early ripening, but also achieve the purpose of improving plant quality, and it also has the effect of herbicide. However, due to its certain accumulation of toxicity to the human body, the national standard has cancelled its production license application as a food additive.
4. Chloramphenicol
1 batch of chloramphenicol for edible agricultural products did not meet the requirements of national food safety standards. Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. The Ministry of Agriculture's Announcement No. 235 "Maximum Residue Limits for Veterinary Drugs in Animal Foods" lists chloramphenicol as a drug that is prohibited from use and cannot be detected in animal foods.
5. Poison ticks
This sampling test has 1 batch of edible agricultural product chlorpyrifos that do not meet the provisions of national food safety standards. Chlorpyrifos is a kind of organophosphorus insecticide with touch, gastric toxicity and fumigation effect, which has the triple effect of gastric toxicity, touch killing and fumigation, and has a good prevention effect on a variety of chewing and sucking mouthpart pests on rice, wheat, cotton, fruit trees, vegetables and tea trees. Long-term exposure to chlorpyrifos may be neurotoxic, reproductively toxic, and may affect the growth and development of embryos.
