May 18, 2024 is the 48th International Museum Day, with the theme of "Museums Committed to Education and Research", and the launching ceremony of the Shibei District venue will officially kick off at 10:00 a.m. on May 17 (Friday) at the Qingdao World War I Site Museum.
This event will invite the president of Qingdao World War I History Research Association, the director of Qingdao World War I Site Museum, and the director of the Propaganda Department of the Chinese Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall to share the theme of the activity on "A New Way to Open the Museum" and "The Great Project - The Construction of the Communist Party of China during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression". Launched the Museum Creative Awards, focusing on the promotion and display of cultural and creative products such as Tsingtao Beer Museum, Behrin Natural History Museum, and Love and Music Museum; The IP images of the museums such as the Hanhan Ha Wine Duck, the Funny Expansive Leaven Master, and the Cool Giant Panda will also appear at the event site, narrowing the distance between the museum and the audience through the interaction of the museum's IP image. In 2024, the aesthetic education classroom project will also be released at the same time, "social aesthetic education" is a long-term work, Shibei District optimizes the museum's research products, provides more rich and diverse cultural and educational resources for the general public, invites citizens to participate, and jointly lights up all corners of the city with art, so that art can enter the lives of the people.
In order to allow citizens and tourists to better understand and experience the cultural charm of the museum in Shibei District, the "new way to play" of the museum will be released during the event - "Shibei City Affairs Walking Plan", which is in line with the travel and play habits of young people at present, and attracts citizens and tourists to stroll through various museums in the form of stamps, so as to enhance the public's interest and participation in museums. Participants can pick up a stamp book at any of the Shibei museums, and each time they visit a museum, they can collect the corresponding stamp on the booklet as a souvenir.
During the event, the Chinese Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall held a touring exhibition of "Great Project - The Construction of the Communist Party of China during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression" at the Qingdao World War I Site Museum, which will be unveiled simultaneously as the first stop of the exhibition's national tour and will be open to the public free of charge. The major museums in Shibei District have also launched many preferential policies and activities on Museum Day, and a variety of activities are waiting for your participation.
