May 12 this year is the 16th National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day, with the theme of "Everyone Stresses Safety, Everyone Knows How to Respond to Emergencies - Strive to Improve Grassroots Disaster Prevention and Avoidance Capabilities", and May 11 to 17 is the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Publicity Week. In order to further popularize safety knowledge, enhance the life safety awareness of all teachers and students, improve the response and self-rescue ability in case of emergencies, and achieve "safety first, prevention first", and know how to protect themselves in case of danger, on the morning of May 11, our school carried out an emergency safety evacuation drill.
The class teacher educates the students on emergency evacuation
Before the exercise, the Political and Educational Office and the Youth League Committee conscientiously organized and formulated a thorough and meticulous drill plan. According to the plan, the class teacher carried out emergency evacuation drill safety knowledge education for the students, so that the students could understand and master the basic knowledge of how to quickly escape and self-rescue in the event of an emergency, and make full preparations for the emergency evacuation drill.
At 7 o'clock in the morning, the commander-in-chief of the exercise (President Zou) announced the start of the exercise. With the rapid sound of the siren, the emergency evacuation drill officially began. The drill was divided into three parts: evacuation, evacuation and fire extinguishing, and the homeroom teacher and the staircase safety attendant guided the students to evacuate quickly and orderly according to the designated route. During the whole process, the students were calm, fast, orderly and methodical all the way from the teaching building to the square. Subsequently, the class teacher quickly counted the class size, checked if anyone was injured, and reported to the on-site command. With the full cooperation of the members of the leadership team and all the class teachers, the drill was orderly, acted quickly, and cooperated tacitly, and the whole school was evacuated to the playground for a shared time of 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

In the second stage of the exercise, the drill firefighter (Daniel Zhang, deputy director of the General Affairs Office) explained the use of dry powder fire extinguishers to teachers and students. The teachers and students carefully watched the demonstration of the use of fire extinguishers on site, and some teachers and students participated in the demonstration of fire extinguishing operation on the spot.

After the drill, Vice Principal Zhang Banghai summarized the drill, praised the students' attitude towards the drill and the safe, fast and orderly evacuation, and carried out safety education in combination with the school work, reminding everyone to pay attention to the escape channel every day, be familiar with the escape method, and put safety first at all times.
