In order to raise children's awareness of disaster prevention and improve their ability to avoid disasters and save themselves. On May 11, Chengdong Community, Lianhua Street, Chenggu County, and Chengdong Kindergarten jointly carried out an earthquake prevention and disaster reduction knowledge lecture and emergency escape drill with the theme of "Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction Safety Children's Walk".
During the activity, community volunteers explained what an earthquake is, its performance, how to avoid an earthquake and precautions for earthquake escape through PPT in simple and easy-to-understand language, and made the children have a deeper impression of earthquake avoidance measures and correct self-rescue and mutual rescue methods through earthquake prevention and disaster reduction promotional videos.
Subsequently, the earthquake escape drill officially began. As the siren sounded, the volunteers instructed the children to stay away from windows as fast as possible, hide under desks, corners and other safe areas, and bend their bodies as much as possible to lower their center of gravity to protect their heads and eyes. After the earthquake was over, the children, led by volunteers, bent over, held their heads, and evacuated quickly and orderly according to the predetermined route. When you reach a safe place, protect your head, bend your knees, and squat. During the entire exercise, it was necessary to "listen to commands, be orderly, and not panic."
This activity further guided the children to scientifically understand the earthquake, master self-rescue methods, improve self-protection ability, and enhance the awareness of cherishing life. It has effectively created a strong atmosphere of "earthquake prevention and disaster reduction, everyone participates", and built a solid safety barrier for the majority of residents, especially the majority of children.
