30 enterprises and institutions from the county, including fire protection, emergency response, housing and construction, natural resources, meteorology, health, public security, power supply company, and Lanfa Group, participated in the event.
The purpose of this activity is to improve the awareness of disaster prevention and mitigation among the public in our county, strengthen disaster response capabilities, and jointly build a safe and harmonious social environment. Publicity boards were set up at the event site to display the preventive measures, response methods and self-help and mutual rescue knowledge of various disasters, attracting a large number of people to stop and watch.
All units carried out disaster prevention and mitigation knowledge lectures in light of the actual work, distributed popular science manuals, and explained the causes, characteristics and coping strategies of disasters in simple terms, so that the people had a deeper understanding of disaster prevention and mitigation. The county emergency bureau popularized the knowledge of hazardous chemicals safety and precautions for confined space operations; The county public security bureau carried out publicity on anti-telecom fraud, road traffic safety, danger and violence, and related legal knowledge; The county health department conducted a basic health examination and simulated cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the spot; The County Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau conducted on-site publicity and explanation on the knowledge related to the safe use of gas; The county bureau of commerce publicizes the knowledge of oil and gas pipeline protection; The county natural resources bureau gave a lecture on geological disaster prevention and response; The county meteorological bureau gave a detailed explanation of the meteorological warning signs, the early warning information release process, and the response to extreme weather; The county fire and rescue brigade combined with rescue equipment to explain the emergency rescue, and invited the masses to experience the on-site operation, so that the masses could participate in the experience and understand the response measures when the disaster occurred, and effectively improved the emergency response ability of the masses.
At the event site, the hand-copied newspapers and award-winning works of the 2024 county's primary and secondary school students on the theme of disaster prevention and mitigation were also exhibited.
