Having worked in Afghanistan for three years, this place is more mysterious than Iran

The day I arrived in Afghanistan, my heart was filled with anticipation and curiosity. As a volunteer with an international aid organization, I have a desire to help others and to learn more about this interesting yet mysterious place. In the past three years, I have experienced countless stories and touches in this land, and every moment has made me deeply feel the unique charm of this place.

The first time I set foot on Afghan soil, I was blown away by what I saw. The towering peaks are particularly magnificent in the sunlight, while the ancient buildings exude a strong sense of history. I came to the capital, Kabul, a city rich in culture, full of people and things, as if everyone had their own story to be told. Here, I met many warm and friendly Afghans who taught me how to adapt to this unfamiliar environment and made me feel their kindness and tolerance.

In my work in Afghanistan, I often need to travel to remote villages to help people who are struggling to survive. In these places, I witnessed the hardships of life and the tenacity of the people. Once, I arrived in a war-torn village, where the children were swarthy and ragged, but still smiling. They greeted me in their childish voices, which made me feel their love for life and hope for the future. There, I met a young boy named Hamid, who was smart and clever, but his family was too poor to go to school. I talked to him a lot and learned about his thirst for knowledge and his vision for the future. I decided to help him and provide him with the opportunity to learn so that he could achieve his dreams.

In addition to work, I also had the pleasure of visiting some of the famous places in Afghanistan. In front of the statue of the Great Buddha in Bamiyan, I felt the precipitation of thousands of years of civilization and the weight of history. On the Pamirs, I rode a camel through the desolate Gobi and experienced the beauty and wonder of nature. In the ancient citadel of Kabul, I felt the unique charm and diversity of Central Asian cultures. Every time I traveled, I gained a deeper understanding and feeling of this mysterious country.

Three years passed in a flash, and when I was about to leave Afghanistan, I felt an inexplicable feeling of emotion and attachment in my heart. This place has given me so many memories and feelings, and made me appreciate the true meaning of life and the greatness of human nature. Here, I have learned to cherish every moment I have, and be grateful for every gain and dedication. I hope to be able to return to this place again one day and witness the development and transformation of this country with my Afghan friends, and continue to work hard for their future.

The moment I left Afghanistan, I knew deep down that this place had become an indelible part of my life, and I will always miss it and be grateful for all that it has given me. Afghanistan, a mysterious and fascinating country, made it the most memorable three years of my life.
