Rudong Town is located in the northeast of Li County, the jurisdiction of the river system, embankment reservoir many, Songzi River, water through the town, in the water and at the same time, flood disaster is also a worrying event. The town has a total of 19,054 meters of first-line flood control embankment, 8,980 meters of second-line flood control embankment, and a small second-type reservoir.
In order to further improve the actual combat effect of the emergency plan for flood control and rescue and mountain flood geological disasters in Rudong Town and the actual combat ability of the rescue team, on April 30, the Party Committee and Government of Rudong Town organized 16 companies in 4 camps to conduct emergency drills, with a total of 3,603 people participating, and dispatched 32 transport vehicles and excavators to investigate all flood control embankment sections and gates one by one, and to remove obstacles and impurities on the inside and outside of the flood control embankment and the main drainage and irrigation channels. At the same time, targeted drills were carried out on mass transfer, logistics support, patrol duty, etc., to ensure the effective use of the joint defense linkage mechanism and achieve the expected results.
Through this exercise, the cadres and masses were further alerted to make ideological preparations for preventing major floods, resisting major disasters, and rushing to major dangers, and enhanced the emergency response capabilities of the whole town to deal with flood conditions, and always made unremitting efforts to safeguard the safety of the lives and property of the broad masses of the people.
