The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a disaster risk warning for winter wheat dry hot wind on May 20:
Affected by high temperature and sunny weather, it is expected that the risk of dry and hot wind for winter wheat in southern Hebei, central and western Shandong, central and northern Henan, northern Anhui, southern Shanxi, and Guanzhong in Shaanxi will be high from May 22 to 24 (yellow warning), and the risk will be high in some areas of northwest Henan and southeastern Shanxi (orange warning).
It is suggested that the above-mentioned areas should do a good job of "one spray and three preventions", and take measures such as sprinkler irrigation, micro spraying, and drip irrigation to irrigate with small water, prevent or reduce the harm of dry and hot air, and strengthen the monitoring, prevention and control of aphids.
