On April 27, the 2024 Literary Volunteer Service Demonstration Key Support Project of the China Writers Association "Literary Volunteer Activities in the Yongding River Cultural Belt of Xishan" kicked off on the banks of the Yongding River in western Beijing.
The activity was jointly sponsored by the Beijing Shijingshan District Writers Association and the Guangning Sub-district of Shijingshan District. More than 40 writers and street workers participated.
In recent years, Shijingshan District has actively promoted the construction of the Yongding River Cultural Belt in Xishan, focused on the construction of ecological civilization, strengthened the protection of cultural relics and the renovation of blocks, and promoted the integrated development of natural landscapes, ancient road villages, industrial sites, red imprints, cultural creativity and other characteristic resources, creating a "beautiful Shijingshan", which better demonstrates the unique natural beauty and cultural heritage of Shijingshan District. In order to help the construction of ecological civilization, carry out ecological civilization publicity, practice the concept of ecological civilization, and present the "Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt" in a literary way, the Beijing Shijingshan District Writers Association strictly implements the requirements of the China Writers Association to promote the high-quality development of literary volunteer services, continuously increases the cultural and creative planning and practice of western Beijing, and takes the initiative to declare the "Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt" as a typical, demonstrative, The innovative and sustainable literary volunteer service demonstration project has been successfully approved, laying the foundation for giving play to the leading and exemplary role of excellent literary volunteer service projects.
Starting from the Yongding River Leisure Forest Park Management Office, the writers visited the Yongding River Cultural Square, the riverside scenic belt, etc., visited the Shimei Guangning Exhibition Hall, the Winter Olympics Community Gathering Room, etc., and listed the "Beijing Shijingshan District Writers Association Creation Base" in the Guangning Street Comprehensive Cultural Activity Center. The series of activities enabled everyone to have a more comprehensive understanding and cognition of the "Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt", enhanced the sense of identity and pride in the culture of western Beijing, and expressed that they would take on the new cultural mission of the new era, make good use of the valuable resources of the "Xishan Yongding River Cultural Belt", and show the spiritual atmosphere of Shijingshan in the new era with excellent literary works.
