It is understood that the reading activity of "Beicheng Reading a Book Together" is an important part of the 10 brand activities created by our district. In recent years, Beibei District has vigorously promoted the work of national reading, built a public reading service system covering urban and rural areas, and created special reading brands such as "National Reading Month", "Beicheng Read a Book Together" and "Jinyun Poetry Club".
This year, our district has thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important expositions on "deepening national reading and building a scholarly society", focusing on celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, with the theme of "Reading Jinyun and Scholarly Companions", further integrating resources and gathering strength, and planning and launching the "Ten Hundred Thousand" reading project, that is, 10 brand activities, 100 public lectures, and 1,000 reading sharing and exchange meetings. During the National Reading Month from April to May alone, there were more than 30 online and offline reading activities, covering cultural salons, public welfare lectures, and book fairs for the people.

In order to better play the role of expert volunteers, the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee and the District Culture and Tourism Committee jointly initiated the establishment of the "Reading Jinyun" Reading Promotion Group, and the first batch of 20 members of the "Reading Jinyun" Reading Promotion Group are composed of well-known poets, writers, psychologists, and outstanding workers in various fields with rich practical experience, and deep reading promoters.
