During the research trip, Qin Chuan and his entourage visited Jingzhou Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage Skills Inheritance Institute, Jingzhou Museum and Jingzhou Cultural Relics Protection Center to gain an in-depth understanding of the rich and colorful intangible cultural heritage of Jingchu area. These places bring together the intangible cultural heritage skills and ingenious handicrafts of the land of Jingchu, each of which embodies the painstaking efforts and wisdom of the inheritors.

At the symposium, Xu Xiaolan, chairman of the Yangtze River Vocational College of Art and Engineering, reported in detail on the operation of the Jingzhou Traditional Craft Workstation (hereinafter referred to as the "workstation") and the construction plan of Jingchu Intangible Cultural Heritage Artisan Town. She said that since the establishment of the workstation in October 2017, the Academy of Arts and Design of Tsinghua University, under the guidance of the leaders and professors of the Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, the Lacquer Art Inheritance and Development Alliance and the Lacquer Art Branch of the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association have been established, and remarkable achievements have been made in the living inheritance of lacquer art, the innovation of the intangible cultural heritage development model, the construction of a collaborative innovation platform and the revitalization of the lacquer industry.
