In the Temple of Heaven Park's "Tour the Green Gardens and Enjoy the Beauty of Nature" activity, the specimens of the long-eared owl attracted many tourists. The lecturer of the Temple of Heaven Park introduced the relationship between the long-eared owl and the Temple of Heaven and invited visitors to participate in the interactive activity of "How Much Do You Know About the Birds of the Temple of Heaven". Under the leadership of the popular science lecturer, the visitors explained in detail the different forms, special functions, seasonal behaviors and residence types of birds through the teaching aids and vivid stickers of the bird science exhibition, and experienced the rich ecological landscape of the Temple of Heaven Park and the charm of hundreds of species of birds in the interactive experience. During the event, the staff also distributed popular science leaflets such as ancient trees and flowers to the tourists, leading them to understand the rich ecological culture of the Temple of Heaven Park and guiding them to establish the awareness of protecting ecological civilization.

At the event site, the science staff of Beijing Zoo held bird molds in their hands to carry out "bird exploration" with tourists, through the introduction of bird eggs, beaks, and incubation process, so that tourists can have a deeper understanding of the interesting science knowledge of birds. Zhongshan Park carried out interactive games such as "Bird Home in the Park" and "Diverse Flower Types, Diverse Genes" on the spot, and cooperated with various flowers and bird leaflets to show the public the park's increasingly excellent ecological environment and garden resources, and popularize scientific knowledge of biodiversity.

Song Lipei, director of the Science and Technology Department of the Beijing Park Management Center, said that the biodiversity conservation science popularization month will last until May 22. During the event, Beijing Municipal Parks, China Garden Museum and Garden School will carry out more than 150 themed science popularization activities for tourists and citizens. At the same time, relying on the WeChat public account of "Science Park", it will continue to launch online activities such as story sharing, ancient tree observation, ancient tree quizzes, and nature note collection.
It is understood that the Beijing Municipal Park Management Center has organized 11 municipal parks and the China Garden Museum to launch a series of popular science experience activities of "Park Science Calendar December" this year, creating a park science experience atmosphere of "monthly theme", "weekly activities" and "one park with one feature".
