The day before yesterday, I bought some things in a Chinese supermarket in Vientiane, and found that the price of the Super League in Vientiane was surprisingly cheap (you must know that overseas Chinese supermarkets are a little outrageously expensive, for example, a pack of snail noodles in Egypt costs 60 yuan).

1️⃣ Prices are low in Laos
Not only that, but in Vientiane, accommodation in the Chinese area is also very cheap, I even saw a small hotel with a standard room of 60 yuan a day, and I said that it is no wonder that so many Chinese flock to Vientiane to pan for gold, because the cost of living is not high.
In Sanjiang City, a meal of Chinese fast food costs more than 10 yuan per person, and a shirt in the night market costs 2 dollars...... In short, the price of Laos is very cheap for Chinese. (However, hotels in tourist areas are more expensive, presumably because there are few hotel listings)
All the Chinese products I bought that day, (including an electric mosquito coil), cost 43,100 old yuan, about 139 yuan.
2️⃣ Railway to Laos
Then the question is, why are prices so low in Laos?
Obviously, Laos is located inland, and shipping imports and exports also rely on Vietnam's Hainan Airlines.
The main reason is obvious, because there are Chinese railways.
Lao Yang explained this problem to me, and China was originally going to build three railway lines from China to Southeast Asia, namely 1 from Yunnan to Yangon in Myanmar to the Indian Ocean, 2 from Yunnan Laos to Thailand and then south to Malaysia, 3 from Guangxi to Vietnam.
However, due to various geo-economic and complex reasons, these three lines have not been completed, and the fastest one to be built belongs to the second line, that is, the section from Yunnan to Laos, and the section from Laos to Thailand has not been successful.
It can be seen here that the Lao government has a very open attitude towards China, and I welcome you to invest.
It is because of the opening of the railway, and the opening of the highway later, that Laos "connected" to the thriving blood vessels (railways, highways) of China, and let goods pour into Laos, a country without industry, like dumping.
3️⃣ Customs is not greedy
After China built the infrastructure, a large number of Chinese goods entered Laos, forming a developed logistics.
Lao Yang said, "You can even buy things directly on the Internet in Laos and send them to Laos." The process is like this, you place an order now, the logistics will be sent to the Kunming warehouse, they buy goods online are sent according to the container, the containers are full and will be sent to Vientiane immediately, and when you arrive in Vientiane, the warehouse will call to tell you that the express has arrived, and you will go to the warehouse to pick it up. (It can be there in three or four days, which is actually quite fast).
Take the Chinese Super League as an example, they come to Laos and hardly have to pay too many tariffs. Lao Yang said, "First of all, Laos is a country with a low level of development, laws and regulations are very vague, and there is a large gray space for operation.
A lot of goods come into Laos from the land border, and a truckload of goods of dozens of dollars is sent to the customs, and the Laotians are very good and not greedy. ”
As a result, the cost of Chinese goods in Laos may be similar to that in China.
The above two reasons: logistics + taxation, so that Chinese goods in Laos are very cheap to sell to Laos.
