On December 13, the Yanglintang Waterway Improvement Project was awarded the second batch of "Water Transportation Quality Engineering Award" in 2022-2023. This award is the earliest ministerial honorary award in the engineering construction industry in mainland China, and represents the highest honor for engineering quality in the national water transportation construction industry.
The Yanglintang waterway is connected to the economic hinterland of southern Jiangsu in the west and the "golden waterway" of the Yangtze River in the east, which is an important channel for the Taicang port area of Suzhou Port, and is also an important part of the provincial trunk waterway Lianshen line, with a total length of about 41 kilometers. The project is divided into Taicang section, Kunshan section, Wutang section of Jinji River, Yanglin lock and other projects organized and implemented in stages, with a total estimated investment of about 4.996 billion yuan.
Suzhou water transport refers to the ingenuity, building high-quality products, in-depth promotion of quality engineering creation activities, and innovative research and application of construction technology innovation. In the process of the construction of the revetment project, different types of revetment walls were adopted according to local conditions, which vividly interpreted the construction theme of "green corridor"; in the process of bridge engineering construction, the rapid transformation scheme of key obstructing bridges was studied, and a standardized transformation process was formed; in the process of construction of the ship lock project, the two-way cement mixing pile construction method of "four stirring and three spraying" was innovatively developed, and the largest single lock in Suzhou was built on the silt land along the river.
In December 2022, the Yanglintang Waterway Improvement Project fully completed the completion and acceptance work, and the completion quality of each project was rated as excellent, and won a number of national and provincial honors: the Yanglin Ship Lock Project was awarded the 2022-2023 "National Quality Engineering Award" and the first batch of "Water Transportation Quality Engineering Award" in 2022-2023, and the Yanglintang Waterway Improvement Project was awarded the 2023 "Jiangsu Transportation Quality Project".
