【Exhibition Overview】
Vietnam International Maritime Ship Exhibition (VIMOX) is the only shipbuilding and maritime professional event in Vietnam, bringing together international shipbuilding companies, maritime companies and shipbuilding supporting industries in Hanoi, the largest shipbuilding center in the north and south. The conference will showcase the latest developments in the shipbuilding industry, maritime and offshore, and is a major event for Vietnam's professional shipbuilding, offshore and shipping industries.

【Market Introduction】
Vietnam has 3,260 kilometers of coastline in the Gulf of Tonkin, the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, and its vast waters and abundant offshore oil and gas resources provide a good foundation for marine activities, making Vietnam an active participant in the global power and marine industries.
Vietnam is one of the largest shipbuilding nations in the world. Shipbuilding is one of the pillar industries of the Vietnamese government. According to Article 16.1, Paragraph 1 of the Investment Law, the shipbuilding industry is one of the sectors eligible for Vietnam's "Investment Incentives". The Vietnamese government has high expectations for the shipbuilding industry to become a leading shipbuilding nation in this century.
There are 20 major domestic shipyards in the country, which are subordinate to the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Agriculture. Currently, these shipyards are divided into three main clusters. In the south there are two factories with the capacity to manufacture ships of 25 – 50000 tons. In central Vietnam there are four factories capable of building ships of 50 – 30000 tons. In the north there are three main shipyards, among which the Dutch-owned company Damen Song Cam, capable of building ships of 30-70000 tons.
Although Vietnam has been affected by the epidemic and economy in the past two years, the shipbuilding industry is still the most promising industry in Vietnam, especially in shipbuilding technology and equipment, with great potential.
