On December 17, the BWF World Tour Finals entered its final day. In the mixed doubles final, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong met Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping. In this game, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong defeated Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping in straight games, and successfully defended the title and won the finals.
In the first game, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong played a 4-0 start, and then the two led all the way, leading 11-4 into the technical break. After the middle game, the IELTS pair scored four points in a row to extend their lead to nine points. After that, the two made persistent efforts, scoring 4 points in a row at the end of the game 21-11 to easily win the first game.
In the second game, Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping scored 6 points in a row at the beginning and entered the technical break with an 11-5 advantage. After the middle game, the IELTS pair played with momentum and struggled to chase the score, and after 13-17, the two played a wave of 8-1, 21-18 to win the second game.
In the end, in a 48-minute match, Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong defeated teammates Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping 21-11, 21-18 and successfully defended their title and won the finals. This is the seventh title of the season for the duo and the third final title for the IELTS pair.
