According to the previous official news: IELTS officially announced that the IELTS computer-based IELTS single subject retest in Chinese mainland will open for registration on April 26, 2024. This upgrade means that the re-examination of single subjects is officially open!

As a major change in the history of IELTS, let's take a look back at what you need to register for a retake.
IELTS single subject retake registration conditions
✅ From April 1, 2024, you have taken the computer-based IELTS test for all subjects in Chinese mainland and received your TRF.
✅ You can register and take a single subject retake within 60 days from the date of the last computer-based test (i.e. the test date stated on the original TRF).
✅ Use the same ID as the last computer-based test to register and retake the individual test.
✅ Before registering, candidates should confirm with the receiving institution whether the IELTS single subject retake result will be recognized.
✅目前，雅思单科重考不针对于英国签证及移民的雅思机考（IELTS on Computer for UKVI）。
It is important to note that after each official IELTS test, you can only take the IELTS single subject retake once. In other words, if you want to improve the score of a single subject, then you can take this exam, but if you want to retake two subjects, then the single subject retake cannot be achieved, and you can only take the official exam again.
