Communications and the Internet in Gaza have been cut off. A number of international organizations have lost contact with staff in Gaza.
On 28 October, the website of the German Press TV channel reported that the current heavy bombardment by the Israeli army has caused the disruption of all communications and Internet services in the Gaza Strip.
AFP correspondents confirmed that they can only communicate in areas where Israeli network signals can be received.
