Why does Hamas insist on fighting knowing that fighting may kill you?
For you have not experienced the desperate situation of the inhabitants of Gaza. Israel has sealed off the Gaza border with a high wall and barbed wire fence and has set up numerous guard posts, preventing the inhabitants of Gaza from entering and leaving freely like caged birds. Gaza is desert and drought-starved, and residents want to dig wells for groundwater to irrigate their fields, yet Israel closely monitors them and blocks them with cement when they find them. How is this act different from the extermination of humanity?
However, Israel's evil deeds go far beyond that. With more than 2 million inhabitants, Gaza needs large quantities of food, water, electricity and household items, as well as medicines. Supplies donated by neighbouring Arab countries are difficult to enter Gaza because Israel allows only a small amount of food and daily necessities to pass through, and the rest is detained. Residents are hungry, sick and helpless, and their lives are miserable.
Hamas has dug underground passages to Egypt to buy food, medicine and other necessities in order to survive. However, Israel has blown up these passages of life, with thousands known to have been destroyed. Every time a passage is blown up, the inhabitants of Gaza are cut off from their livelihood.
Faced with such a dilemma, Hamas chose to fight. They know that fighting may be sacrificed, but not fighting is doomed. Therefore, they are determined to fight to the death, to fight for their fellow citizens and for their faith. I stand out for the warriors of Hamas, who are brave and fearless, born and ghostly.
