After Hamas agreed to a ceasefire, Israel drove tanks into Rafah: it was as it was!
According to reference news reports, late on May 6, local time, Hamas leader Haniyeh informed Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed and Egyptian General Intelligence Director Kamal that Hamas had approved the proposed ceasefire agreement. After the news broke, people in Gaza celebrated in the streets (Picture 1), and the families of the hostages held rallies in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and other places in Israel to demand that Netanya sign a ceasefire agreement as soon as possible (Picture 2).
At the same time, however, Israel's wartime cabinet announced that Israel would attack Rafah, regardless of whether a hostage agreement was reached or not. #哈马斯同意停火 Continuation of Operation Rafah# A few hours later, the Israeli army began a large-scale offensive, with tanks entering in large numbers, shells hitting buildings in Rafah, and pictures and videos of Rafah being hit began to circulate on social media (Figures 3-5). According to Egyptian sources, the location of the Israeli army's strike was once only 200 meters from the crossing point between Gaza and Egypt.
