In the first set, Wang Chuqin defeated Ding Yinghuang in straight sets to take the lead for the Chinese men's table tennis. In the second set, Ma Long played against Nguyen Anh Xiu, and Ma Long completely dominated the match, winning 11:8, 11:5, 11:3. In the third set, Liang Jingkun was challenged by Doan and won 3:2, with scores of 11:0, 9:11, 8:11, 11:3, 11:8.
