"It's very hot, other physical education classes are more than 50 people to grab, this course is more than 100 people to compete, so it is really lucky to be able to grab!" Guan Yike, a senior in the School of Management, said that she grabbed Zhang Jiewen's class, and she immediately shared the good news with her parents and sent a circle of friends to show off.

Around the world, Zhang Jiewen is a household name star. In 2004, she won the Athens Olympic Badminton Women's Doubles Title and the first Olympic Champion in Badminton in Guangzhou. After the 2008 Olympic Games, she took up the post of deputy director of the guangzhou badminton management center. During this period, she continued to use her spare time to further study at the Guangzhou Sports Institute and obtained a master's degree in education. In 2016, she passed the selection of Sun Yat-sen University's "100 Talents Program" and successfully transformed into an associate professor of the Department of Physical Education of Sun Yat-sen University. Now, she attends 6-8 classes a week at school, with a full schedule.

In the classroom, every time Zhang Jiewen hit the ball, the students paid attention with adoring eyes. For her, what is more important is how to teach her habitual playing moves to a group of "little whites". Therefore, she will start with basic knowledge such as warm-up, gripping, and serving.

"Try to break it down in as much detail as possible, cut out the easiest part of the profession, and then speak out in an easy-to-understand way." I remember the first time I didn't teach at all, for me, the serve was not very simple, 'uh' and then passed. It was demonstrated, '1, 2, 3, you practice'. The students were dumbfounded, 'Ah, how do you practice this?' The more you teach now, the more students you meet, and the easier it is to solve this problem. ”

Guangzhou Daily And New Flower City reporter saw at the classroom site that although Zhang Jiewen's requirements were strict, she had no shelf, would correct the students' movements by hand, and would joke with her classmates that "I don't need to rest when I see you."

She said that she did not dare to be sloppy in class, and that she should prepare for different students seriously, "There is pressure, sometimes I have to find a way to quickly respond to their questions." Senior students are more 'skinny', will say 'this is so tired, can you not practice', I will pay attention to adjustment. In my freshman life, I feel that everything is fresh. Some students are quiet and some are lively, so it is necessary to adjust the atmosphere of each class and design the content of the weekly class accordingly."

Zhang Jiewen hopes that more and more Olympic champions can join the ranks of college teachers and promote more people to love sports, "The more book knowledge is learned, everyone does not love to move, but playing ball, running, sweating will be more conducive to learning, because this is a very good feeling." More importantly, sports can exercise contrarian quotient, and when you encounter difficulties or fall behind in the game, how to break through, which will inspire life." Therefore, in her spare time, she is willing to share her success and failure experiences with students and provide some references for contemporary youth.

Since she was a teacher for 5 years, Zhang Jiewen's mentality has become younger and her complexion has become more full. On the occasion of Teachers' Day, she made a wish that everyone around her would be well. She hopes to pass on what she has learned to more people and strive to make badminton one of the school's strong projects.
