Gansu painter Zhang Jie's fine art work "The West Side of the Ancient Road" was recently selected for the 9th China Beijing International Art Biennale.

Zhang Jie (Shi Ying) is a dark horse that has risen in the art world in Gansu in recent years. She graduated from the Department of Art Education of Northeast Normal University and is now a member of the Gansu Provincial Artists Association, the Gansu Calligraphers Association, the Gansu Photographers Association, the Senior Academician of the Gansu Modern Calligraphy and Painting Academy, and the External Librarian of Jiuquan Art Museum. In recent years, she has taken root in the western region and devoted herself to creating a large number of exquisite works reflecting the natural and cultural scenery and folklore of the Silk Road Ancient Road, among which "The New Chapter of the Silk Road" was selected for the Fourth National Chinese Painting Exhibition of the Spirit of Sorrow, "Buddha Yin Yougu" was selected for the First Chinese Painting Biennale of Bouldering Wind Bones, and "West side of the Ancient Road" was recently selected for the Ninth China Beijing International Biennale. China Beijing International Art Biennale, approved by the State Council, funded by the state finance, co-sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Beijing Municipal People's Government and the China Artists Association, is an international academic exhibition with a unique exhibition mode. It is known as "the world's largest international art biennale focusing on painting and sculpture".

The work "West side of the Ancient Road" takes the Silk Road culture, border Plug culture, ethnic culture and historical culture as the starting point, and takes the Mongolian people and camels in the snowy mountains as the theme, showing a kind of national spirit of the western desert, not afraid of the cold, and forging ahead. In the conception, composition, color draft design to the adjustment of the relationship between black, white and gray, let people feel an ancient wind coming at the head, the feeling of traveling through time and space in the present dynasty, profoundly showing the spiritual outlook of the characters, meticulously portraying the desert camel's demeanor and dynamics, rigid and soft, majestic and magnificent, giving the audience a sense of solemn and high penetration and strong vitality, which has been unanimously praised by artists at home and abroad.
