This female monkey is a cross of two different genera of monkeys, the proboscis monkey and the silver langur, which belongs to the subfamily Colobus monkey and is characterized by a surprisingly large nose, while the proboscis monkey can grow up to 24 kilograms.
Silver leaf monkeys belong to the monkey family, their hair is mainly black-brown, weighing about 5-6 kg, much smaller than the proboscis monkey.
It is said that these two species have a big gap in size and habits, and their places of residence are far apart, usually belonging to a non-invasive relationship, so why do they give birth to hybrid monkeys? Isn't there reproductive isolation between them?
The so-called reproductive isolation refers to the situation that races that are close to each other do not mate, or timely mating will not produce offspring or produce offspring that cannot be proposed, and in reality, there are actually examples of reproductive isolation, such as horses and donkeys, lions and tigers.

Among them, proboscis monkeys are victims, because of the gradual reduction of territory, they have to migrate to the territory of other animals, and silver langurs because of their smaller size, less threat to proboscis monkeys, so a large number of proboscis monkeys have come to the territory of silver langurs.
They not only robbed the silver langurs of food, but also took some female monkeys for themselves, and a large number of female monkeys suffered bad luck, so this hybrid monkey was born.
And this hybrid monkey actually gave birth to offspring unexpectedly, can this mean that the reproductive isolation has been broken? The answer is no, because the appearance of a hybrid monkey doesn't say anything, because there are exceptions to everything, and the baby monkey is not necessarily fertile.
And nature is originally a process of survival of the fittest, this hybrid monkey has no population protection, and the baby monkeys it gives birth to may not survive in a competitive environment even if they can produce offspring.
Therefore, the only remaining special cases do not explain the breaking of reproductive isolation, and if you want to prove that reproductive isolation is broken, you need to continue to explore by experts.
