In 2001, the American Film Institute selected the 100 greatest thrillers in film history from 400 nominated films, of which the top ten are: "Psycho", "Jaws", "The Exorcist", "North by Northwest", "The Silence of the Lambs", "Alien", "Flock of Birds", "French Drug Network", "Rosemary's Baby" and "Indiana Jones". Surprisingly, neither Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange nor The Shining made it into the top ten. If you were to choose the 100 best thrillers after 2001, I think classics such as "Chainsaw", "Silent Hill" and "Prometheus" would be among them.
