Recently, a great white shark bit and killed a person in the coastal town of Stritch Bay, South Australia, Australia, witnesses said that more than 10 surfers were at sea at the time, and one of them, which was later confirmed to be a 55-year-old man, was suddenly bitten by a shark and dragged into the water, bleeding a lot of blood, and finally the shark took his body in his mouth and disappeared. According to Australian media reports, the incident occurred at around 10:20 a.m. on October 31, when the 55-year-old male deceased was surfing on a beach with more than 10 other people, but someone witnessed a giant white shark about 4.5 meters long attacking him in horror. Serious injuries were initially reported, but police later confirmed that they were trying to recover a body, but none had been found as of Nov. 1 and were expected to continue searching until the weekend.

Brophy, a 70-year-old witness, said that after the shark bit the man, he dragged him into the water, and for the next 1 or 2 minutes there was no movement, there was blood everywhere, and then the surfboard floated up, and I saw him in the waves, and the shark took his body in his mouth, which was really terrible. He said that after a few minutes, the man's body was gone, and I think it took him with him.

Schumok, a local resident, said he was riding a jet ski to assist emergency services in searching for the victim, and soon saw a great white shark about the length of a car, but was not sure if it was the culprit, and he also found the wreckage of a surfboard with huge bite marks on it.

South Australian Police said there were plenty of sharks in the vicinity and anyone planning to surf or get into the water needed to be aware of the risks. Police say this is known to be an area frequented by giant sharks and we have had multiple attacks over the years. However, according to Australian media reports, many surfers had returned to sea the afternoon after the incident.
