This summer, Students from The University of Maitun participated in internships in Finland, Spain, Germany, Malawi, Kenya, Israel, Nepal, France, South Korea, Mexico, Ecuador, Brazil, China, Japan, Uganda, Tanzania, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Chile. The International Internship Program shares the internship experiences of university students studying, working and hiking around the world in #MyBadgerSummer. Summer is the most popular time to send university students to study abroad.

Anna Dugan: Entering senior year, majoring in biology, Spanish, and environmental studies. She is conducting a 6-week water analysis internship at the Lalo Loor Dry Forest Reserve in Ecuador.

Maddie and Amelia: Internship at Lunga-Lunga, Kenya. Teach life skills, health topics and women's empowerment. Maddie Paulow graduated this summer with a major in Spanish, International Studies, and Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies. Amelia Taylor is a junior majoring in rehabilitation psychology, health promotion, and health equity.

Abby Sharp: A graduating senior in textile and fashion design with a certificate in material culture studies. In Kathmandu, Nepal, products are designed for the Association of Craft Producers.

Thomas Harr: A graduating senior biochemistry student who is interning in a laboratory at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, Germany.

Katheryn "Kat" Saavedra: A student in the College of Education who is about to enter the upper grades, majoring in early childhood basic education and English as a second language. Intern at the English Social Club in Seville, Spain, teaching English.

Emily Zeller: A junior majoring in supply chain management and sustainability. She is now in Lille, France, interning at a graduate university for engineers.

Maggie Riordan and Taylor Heinicke: Coming to the upper grades, Maggie studied English literature, political science and history and earned a certificate in educational policy. Taylor studied journalism and earned a professional certificate in strategic communication. They interned at the International University Exchange Center in Seoul, South Korea, as An English teacher.
