When I got a new book when I was a child, the first thing I had to do was to look at the illustrations in it, which was really beautiful.
The previous teaching materials, the kind that I really can't forget after reading the pictures for a lifetime, are the kind of heroism and style in Chinese bones, and I really like the old textbooks.
Now that I am an old man and have been teaching for decades, I suddenly saw this version of the illustration taught by elementary school people, which was simply heart-pounding, and I felt that there was no bottom line.
Ugliness is on the one hand, but the soft implantation of the strip flag and tattoo culture in the United States is indeed a serious problem for the subconscious culture of children. It is a problem that is nakedly exposed from above, which is more serious and terrifying than the illustration itself.
The style of painting is also very problematic, you look at the eyes of the child, the painting is very very very open, the style of painting is similar to the movie "Lion Boy", but also very very very very in line with the aesthetic standards of European and Americans ugly Chinese.
There is no harm without comparison, everyone look at the works of Teacher Jing Shaozong, aesthetic high judgment. (Figure 3 below)
I am @ Chemistry Teacher Pei, and finally I would like to say that not only the cover and illustration problems, but also the content of the textbook, especially the content of the English textbook, are more or less large or small, and some problems are even very serious! The education system needs to be straightened out and purified!
