Among them, the "Blue Whale iDD Challenge Free Landing" challenge tests the response speed and power performance of the vehicle, "Blue Whale iDD Bumpy Road Stage Hollywood Special Effects" tests the smoothness of the continuous output of the Blue Whale iDD power and the stability of the body, and the "Blue Whale iDD Conquers the Limit Slope" challenges the low torsional output performance of the vehicle by increasing the slope height and slope.
According to reports, the UNI-K iDD equipped with Blue Whale iDD adopts pure electric start, relying on the peak power of the motor of 85kW and the peak torque of 330N·m, as well as the peak torque response of the motor in the millisecond level, the acceleration of the initial stage is very rapid, bringing a strong push back feeling to the user.
With the help of the high-efficiency Blue Whale triple-clutch electric drive transmission, UNI-K iDD has a good NVH performance, plus the combination of the previous McPherson independent suspension and the rear multi-link independent suspension, the vehicle has strong vibration filtering ability, good tire tracking, and can bring users a smooth and comfortable driving experience.
In the process of vehicle climbing, the two power sources of the motor and engine of the Blue Whale iDD and the multi-gear transmission work together to achieve hybrid operation in full gear and ensure strong and sustained low torque output. It is understood that the blue whale iDD equipped with UNI-K iDD has a maximum transmission efficiency of 97%, and the system's comprehensive torque can reach a maximum of 590N·m.
Hu Tiegang told reporters that more than 500 engineers from Changan Automobile's Chongqing R&D center and European R&D center launched the blue whale iDD hybrid system (intelligent Dual Drive) after 6 years of research and development. He said that Blue Whale iDD represents the global intelligent oil-electric dual-drive system, which is a collective name for "full speed domain, full field domain, full temperature domain, full time domain", which can be applied to all models of A-class-C class.
"The biggest advantage of Changan's hybrid system is that it has 6 direct drive gears and 3 electric drive stops, which is incomparable with pure electricity and other single-stage deceleration plug-in and mixing systems." Professor Xu Xiangyang, director of the Academic Committee of the School of Transportation Science and Engineering of Beihang University and executive deputy director of the National Passenger Car Automatic Transmission Engineering Technology Research Center, stressed that the importance of the hybrid technology route cannot be ignored.
Some analysts believe that plug-in hybrid and pure electric are the two major battlefields for the popularization of new energy vehicles, and as more and more car companies join the plug-in battlefield, the sales volume of the plug-in hybrid market shows a rapid growth trend. Statistics show that from January to March this year, the cumulative sales volume of the plug-in and mixed passenger car market was about 247,000 units, an increase of 203.1% year-on-year.
