On April 22, GAC Toyota, FAW Toyota, Sichuan FAW Toyota Chuangchun Fengyue Co., Ltd., Toyota Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. reported to the State Administration for Market Regulation the recall plan to begin on May 11, 2022.
Among them, GAC Toyota will recall some of the fourth-generation Highlanders produced during the period of April 19, 2021 to April 8, 2022, some Of the Xena cars produced between 2021.12.4 and April 7 2022, and some of the Weisa Twin Engines produced between 2022.2.28 and April 7 2022, with a total of 82,680 vehicles.
FAW Toyota recalled 40,770 crowns produced between July 27, 2021 and April 7, 2022.
Sichuan FAW Toyota Changchun Fengyue Company also recalled some RAV4 Rongfang vehicles produced during the period of April 5.2021 to March 12, 2022, and some Lingfang vehicles produced between April 5, 2021 and March 23, 2022, for a total of 11,133 units.
The reason for the recall of the above vehicles is due to the imperfection of the internal procedures of vsC (Body Stability Control System), after the driver manually turns off the VSC and keeps the brake state under the brake, then the vehicle will not start automatically after restarting, which may cause hidden dangers to the driving.

Toyota China recalled a total of 6,832 imported NX260, NX350H and NX400h+ produced by Lexus between March 31, 2021 and March 17, 2022.
The reason for the recall is that the vehicle's multi-function display may not be able to switch normally during gear shifting or driving, and the video screen before operation will still be maintained, and there may be a safety hazard that may distract the driver. The reason is that due to improperly set welding equipment procedures, there may be a leakage of welding inside the fender assembly of the front fender used to fix the left/right front shock absorber on some bodies, which may cause stability problems when driving in extreme conditions, so the number of vehicles within the scope of the recall is inspected and welded, reaching 2589 vehicles.
A week after Toyota's large-scale recall, Tesla also reported a recall plan on April 29, planning to recall some imported and domestic high-performance Model 3s produced between January 11, 2019 and January 25, 2022, with a total number of 14,684 units, 12,834 of its chinese-made and 1,850 imported.
